Gibson
Gnahoua
Love (C)
Phillips
Rawson

Subs:

Connolly

McLoughlin
Obika
O'Connor
Smith (G)
Stockton

Shaw not even on the bench. Is he injured? I've not heard anything, but he did require treatment last week. Stockton on the bench, which is good. Hopefully he'll come on at some point and have a point to prove, but unless he gets his head straight, no point him being on the pitch.

If Shaw is injured really hope it`s not for long

Good to see Stockton on the bench - should remain there till he can be bothered

Right now, I wonder if anyone would celebrate if the news was that Stockton has become our highest paid player, having signed the new contract that he was offered months ago?

Anyone???

I hope the board take the offer back. I can see a situation in January, where no-one comes back with any kind of serious offer, and he decides he's better off signing the one he has on offer from us, and we're left with a player who still doesn't want to be with us, but is getting paid more than any other player.

If anyone came in with a £100k offer in January, I'd bite their hands off :?

If he does not want to play for Morecambe let him go for nothing in my opinion

Any money we get now will be a bonus but it won`t be very much

Need to move Gibbo back to the left back, as they are having a lot of joy down that side and could have scored already.

FFS

Gnahoua straight red. He was 100% looking at the ball when he jumped. Stanley players surrounded the ref, who played to them.

Arthur sent off. It wasn't a red but poor refereeing again...

Watching this on IFollow as abroad.
That was an absolute disgraceful decision.
He just jumped for the ball, no malice in it.
One of the worst sendings off I’ve seen in a long time

I've watched it back a few times, and I understand why he's seen it as red.

Although Gnahoua is looking at the ball, he has led with his elbow. Gnahoua misses heading the ball, which their lad won. The Accrington player doesn't really jump for it, so he's a lot lower than Gnahoua, which is why he gets clattered. If Arthur had actually won the header, it wouldn't have looked so bad. But by missing the ball, he's 'only' taken their lad out, with his elbow.

If it was the other way around, I'd be calling for a red card. Clumsy, not malicious, but dangerous.

Accrington made an absolute meal of it though.

Other than the red card, there's not a lot to report in the first half. An awful game of football. If we can get 0-0, it will be a great result.

Definitely not a red card. Ref blew for a foul and only when surrounded by Accrington players did he decide to take action. A yellow card if anything. Ref already given two soft yellow cards, one to each team. The Accrington curse strikes again.

I'm not sure how he could give a yellow? An elbow in the face is dangerous and dangerous play [can't remember the exact term, something like 'acting in a manner that endangers a player' is a red card. A bit like, a two footed challenge that wins the ball, but wipes a player out, is a red card.

A decade ago, it wouldn't have been anything, but now...

If the rules say red, fair enough. My point was that the ref didn't see it, only when Accrington players surrendered him did he take any action. Anyway, it's backs to the wall now and hopefully we can keep it tight for a point at least.
COME ON YOU MORECAMBE REDS.

My assumption is, the linesman gave it. Don't forget, they are mic'd up, so can talk to each other without going over.

Can't see us getting anything now.

The inevitable goal for Accy. Just got to battle away and keep the scoreline down. We just don't seem to get any good luck. Another booking for Morecambe. Accrington commentator asking where do they get these refs from. I'm also wondering!!
