When Morecambe moved ground they had to undertake transferring the Trust to the new ground and had to strive manfully to get it accepted through the courts, which they did and ensured that the clubs interest would be maintained in the ground. Whilst none of us could say categorically that what has happened at WW would have happened at MFC, but the phrase of leopard and spots springs to mind. Maybe they came knocking on our door first and only on realising it wasn’t possible to undertake what they have done at WW did they then look elsewhere. I think maybe we should all raise a glass to Wright and Lord for ensuring continued protection to our Christie Trust
Sincerely hope you are right SC. If the above be the case then what is their end game plan for their ownership and sale of our club? If there is nothing much to strip then we can't be that attractive a purchase to others of a similar ilk, so who is in the frame to be the new owner/s?
I'm sure our board aren't asleep at the wheel and the current situation must have been subject to many, many hours discussion about potential outcomes.
We all wait with baited breath with everything crossed hoping for a positive outcome!
PS. I've just raised a decent glass of red to Wright and Lord!
