Shocking conditions, shocking performance. Don't know how we will get anything out of this game.
Not showing any commitment, second best to everything. What's the plan now Derek?

Seven points from thirteen games.
Seven points from safety.

Well it won’t include any subs , not until about 80 + minutes when it’s too late !

Derek`s plan

Sit back lose 0 - 1 and say we were unlucky cos Burton team has class players and have more money than us

Can't say "all" his fault, but may has well have been sat in the stands for their goal. His passing has been poor. Basically, he's been awful.

That said, no player has come out of that 45 minutes with any credit.

As you said, only good thing is, only one goal down. Could easily have been 3-1

Cooney on for Love, but also, bizarrely, Fane for Connolly???

Perhaps. But if it was tactical, then it's weird, as Fane rarely (if ever?) offers anything creative.

We could have scored in the first minute of second half but they scrambled it off the line.

But Cooney is better! Fane is good at breaking up opposition play in midfield. But when we're chasing a game, he's not going to add anything positive. McLoughlin can't even get on the pitch, yet he's far more positive.

This is awful!

Aimless hoofs up the pitch. Very, very poor.

Still, we do need to bear in mind that Burton Albion are an excellent, top League One side, so we can't expect too much when we play such big sides...

Burton should have scored a second.

I can’t comment on this game as I’m not watching but it does make you wonder if derek knew his tactics wouldn’t work in league 1 hence the reason he jumped ship to Bradford. ( that and the paypacket! ) Unfortunately there is no plan b once we go a goal behind which at present is virtually every game! Surely we cannot carry on for much longer without looking at a change of manager? Wait till Xmas and we could be virtually relegated already. Actually I’m not sure he even has a plan “a” !

We won’t sack Adams !!! Edit : maybe Freez could ask on next weeks podcast how long we have to suffer this rubbish before there is a change ?

OR he knew we were never good enough for League 1 and would go back to our rightful level soon. :(
