He kept us in the league. His first full season in charge we got promoted into league one. He then left to take over at a far bigger club, but for whatever reason he was not given enough time to develop a team that he wanted and was given the push. In the mean time we brought in a new manager on a three year contract who promised us the earth but quickly packed his bags when Scotland called. Derek returned and somehow managed to keep us in league one. This new season started with a squad including several players who are not league one players but are on two year contracts, hence limiting Derek's ability to play the type of football he wants to play. If we go down this season I would be happy for Derek to stay, his record in league two is second to none, he would also by then have a squad of players that he wants. Too many changes next season and we will be in real trouble.

This isn't L2 where a couple of clubs had a much bigger budget, this is L1 where you are competing agsinst Championship sized clubs week in week out. If you can't get your head around that then maybe you should become a Burton fan?
Fancy dreaming of better things than trying to finish 18th in L2 in front of 1000 fans every home game eh? Imagine not having a trip to Wembley or taking the lead away at Tottenham. Imagine never competing at this level and going to the grounds we have been to. Your agenda is eating you up Keith and even your back up crew leave you out to dry these days. Your posts are becoming a joke.

Derek has a worst Points per game ratio than Robinson (0.94). I'd argue that this year's team is better than last season's. We've been unlucky with injures but the players we have look uninspired and demotivated. If we don't pick points up against Barnsley and Cheltenham, then surely we have to let Derek go? He's only got under the end of the season anyway and financially it would be worth the risk.
I've never been keen to sack a manager but change can be positive!

What were Robinson's figures like after his first 10 League matches up to his last league match in charge Factsman. Don't include FA Cup or other cup matches , just EFL matches.

We fought back from 0 - 1 down yesterday and salvaged a 1 - 1 draw away from home
Burton maybe not the best team in league 1 but there is not many easy games in this league (just ask Ipswich fans after losing at home to Lincoln yesterday)

If I was one of our excellent players and bothering to read this forum I'd be pissed off at how negative it can be.
So things are tough at the moment with what's going on off the field ie Sale but our lads need all the encouragement we can muster....not discussing how life in EFL2 is on the horizon.
GET BEHIND OUR LADS.......
