Harrogate 2 Morecambe 1 [Mayor] Live Thread

Guess who forgot it was an early kick-off in the last game?

It will be interesting to see what team is put out tonight. With injuries, non-available players, it will be pretty much the first team anyway. Obviously, as I've been banging on about him, I'd like to see McLoughlin given a start. Hopefully, Cole get a goal and kick-start his season.

Intriguing to see at this time of the season how our L1 superstars perform against lower L2 opposition
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

No Stockton and not a full bench?

Great start. Big deflection from their defender, bouncing nicely to Mayor to slot home on two minutes.

Everton under 21 are 2-0 up at Hartlepool.

How does this affect us ?

Pretty sure it means we have to win, or at least draw and win pens

Poor defending, then they came close to a second. We started brightly, but have switched off in the last few minutes. Harrogate looked very poor, but suddenly well on top.

I was just about to write that we are playing a completely changed, young Harrogate side and not exactly dominating when they scored. We certainly need to get stuck in now. I think our players thought it was going to be a walkover.

We are poor. Spot the League 1 side! They are playing their reserves and they are showing us up.

Has Stockton spat his dummy out again, not even on the bench.

I had hoped to see some real commitment from our ‘fringe’ players, hoping to impress Derek for a first team start. But we don’t seem to be putting ourselves about enough. The early goal seemed to inspire them more than us. Hoping for a better second half.

Smith has been pretty poor at the back. Not sure what he's doing.

Where are we going to get goals from? Very little attacking play from us this half. Maybe the subs can improve things, hopefully!

After a bright start, we've been poor and really, Harrogate should be out of sight by now. A real struggle so far.

We can’t string two passes together. Can’t see how we will score. It is so frustrating to watch.
