hope you didn't have nightmares remembering those days!Phil Anderer wrote:Alright, nearly 11.30 and alcohol involved, but remembering the Jim Bentley days, how many on here were saying they'd rather we lose 3-2 going for it than barely survive trying to keep it tight.

The only player I’d criticise would be Stockton who was like a statue for most of the game. I’d start a front two of Connelly and Phillips vs Cheltenham, personally.
Anyway, an excellent win where we actually pressed high which we must continue to do in future games, rather than sit back. If we win against Cheltenham and get something out of our game in hand then things will suddenly look much brighter.
Well done lads.

BHmfc wrote:Fane is in the team to do the dirty work, not hit 40 yard passes or tricky one twos that dazzle the opposition. Last week against Burton he came on as a second half sub and for me he changed the game. He never stopped running and put his foot, and head, into places where it hurts, constantly breaking up Burton's possession. Today was a very similar performance, giving 100%. I agree about his passing which at times can be frustrating, but as I said earlier, he is not in the team for his passing skills.
