Best we've played all season. Ref gave too many incorrect decisions Derby's way  another example of an official giving decisions to a 'bigger' club :o Should not have been a foul against Fane, he got the ball first - and not a yellow card  Connolly's cross did hit the arm of their defender, arm in line of body, but with movement of arm toward and effect the ball - should have been a penalty  Adam Mayor excellent. Cooney excellent. Shaw excellent. O'Connor excellent. Bedeau excellent. Gibbo excellent. Rippers excellent (apart from a few wayward kick-outs). Great team performance. Onward and upward the Shrimps!!!

What a performance. Derek Adams is a football genius and shame on anyone that doubts him. One of the best games of football I have seen.

Best 0.0 you could see and then got better, how exciting. Thought the youngens up front were amazing and gave their defence lots of trouble.

Well played team, don't know what the ref took at half time :?

Got back to Blackpool at 00.30 after a really enjoyable evening

Just a shame that a few fans seem to think I'm not allowed an opinion at games but hey ho

Also noticed someone from the rams bench “warming up” down the touch line clearly coaching the players looked like their head of physio
Thought that was a no no but the official’s never did anything

Awful referee. Really biased in his decision making. Shouldn’t be allowed to continue spoiling games. Should be thrown off the list.

Last nights performance was brilliant, we need to take confidence from this and start picking up some wins now! How was the foul on Dylan not a red card? he was away 1 on 1 , joke of a decision from the officials! Would have taken a point before the game, so more than happy overall, although I do feel like on another day we could have won it.

I don't think it should have been a red card due to 'stopping a goal scoring opportunity' as there was another defender (not that he'd have caught Connolly 'cause he's so fast). But, it surely should have been a red for dangerous play/excessive force? If he'd grabbed a handful of shirt, then a yellow, but flying in on a player who is sprinting, was a red card all day long.

As for our penalty shout, I *THINK* there is something in the law now about if the ball comes on to the arm, off the player's own body, it isn't an offence? In that case, it was correct. That said, he was a 'ref of two halves', excellent first, awful second.

Another Fane give away free kick that was in a very dangerous position and could have resulted in them getting an undeserved winner.

Lost count of the number he has given away in similar positions.

HE IS A LIABILITY....

It was never a free-kick though!!!

Fane can't be blamed for dreadful refereeing decisions. He clearly played the ball well before the player tripped over him. It was an excellent tackle by Fane, from a poor clearance.

If you think he's a liability, that's your opinion. But don't base it upon a crap refereeing decision!

Having only seen him there once, I'd like to see Love in a holding midfield position, instead of Fane, because he can play a better pass, but can still get the tackles in. But, Fane does the job he's put there to do, which is break-up play.

So you're actually unhappy with him making a clean tackle right at the end of the match that could have denied a late winner. The ref gave the free kick when it never was, I'm curious, what does Fane have to do to impress you when you call him a liability for winning the ball?

Whether it was or was not a free kick is irrelevant because it could have been a match winner.

This is NOT an isolated case. He gives away too many free kicks in dangerous position. It's so obvious from our view point confirmed by those around me.

Love is far better in that role but does DA see it like that.... :?: :?: :?:

Watch it again! It was an excellent tackle, and never a foul. Awful refereeing decision, that gave them a dangerous free-kick, rather than us breaking dangerously.

If he stands off because he's afraid to tackle there and it ends up being hit into the top corner you'd be saying why didn't you tackle him. He did tackle him and it was a great tackle. Think he's been decent in recent weeks and don't forget he's there to do a job which as Keith says is to break up play which he does do well.

Neil, give up while you're behind. My question mark over Fane is his slow decision making. I understand other's point that it's not his job.

I agree with this criticism, and as I said elsewhere, on his one outing in that role, I thought Love had a good game, doing the Fane role well, but then also producing a decent pass. I just find it frustrating when Fane gets grief over a poor refereeing decision. It's the equivalent of saying the other week, when Phillips[?] scored but was incorrectly ruled off-side, that it wasn't the linesman's fault, Phillips should have been 'even more on-side' then the linesman would have got the decision right!

My final word on Fane remains as before.....he is a liability and if that upsets others on here then so be it.

I wonder what odds the bookies would give on it being Redrobbo’s final word on the Fane issue? Very short odds I would imagine!

Just seems a bit unfair that you criticise him for giving away a free kick when it was a brilliant tackle and a refereeing mistake. As Keith says, that would be like criticising someone for scoring a goal given as offside when they weren't. Personally, I think Connolly should have stayed on his feet against Derby and the fact he didn't makes him a liability...
