Great curling shot from Cole, on the edge of the area, not far wide. Looking like his confidence is returning!

25 minutes in, Morecambe 1 foul, Exeter 6.

Of those, two Exeter fouls were quite cynical.

Only one yellow card shown... ...guess who got the card?

To be fair, I think O'Connor's was a booking, but why weren't either/any of Exeters?

Playing well so far.

Lovely goal! Short corner to Watts, who dinked a cross for Cole to head home!

PHEW!

Excellent first half, but absolutely battered in the second half. Good, battling point.

Were we pushed back in the second half, or sat back? We just couldn't get out of our own half of the pitch, so Exeter just came straight back at us.

OK it was a good battling point but we will be relegated if we don't start picking up 3 pts soon.

Beaten to the second ball all game. Not sure the point of making substitutes with 2 minutes to go. No pressing at all second half. Another very dissapointing performance from an underperforming team.

We hardly got in their half second half only chance was from a left back.

Subs were daft bringing a CB on and not bringing Phillips on until 87 mins.

Disagree, thought going to three at the back was a good idea at the time.

Too many players were off it and we struggled with their RB and his pace. We never recovered from the equalizer, heads dropped all over the pitch.

Great crowd but a horrible atmosphere. Outsung by 200 Exeter fans who I thought were very good.

At the end of the day it was a point against a team who we don't have a great record against. Could be a vital point at the end of the season.

Charlton lost to Cheltenham last night and their manager is under pressure. They play Stockport in the cup before visiting us next Saturday so lets hope they don't sack their manager until after we beat them !

It was a point at the end of the day but i am afraid that draws are not going to keep us up !!!

We have won 2 from 20 in the league and that simply is not good enough - we were awful 2nd half last night and against a better team we would certainly have lost

Really hope Cambridge and Accy lose today but without us picking up wins in the near future it won`t really matter what other teams do

Also Grounds should have been booked for persistent fouling, he even took Watts out on the halfway line
Another example of poor refereeing
But it’s the same in the World Cup as well
Poor refereeing seems a global thing not just L1 & 2. :D :D

A game of 2 halves. The first very good but the second.....bloody terrible.

What was said at half time in our changing room certainly didn't work and it was as if DA had accepted a point rather than building on the first half performance.

Serious question marks now about our manager and his so negative tactics.

Only Cole up front and he can't do it on his own but he wasn't given any service from midfield who played so deep it was horrible to watch.

To be honest even if the BoD do keep faith in him post Christmas than any money available could be wasted if he continues with so much negativity.

A final word about the Exeter fans who traveled such a long way and were excellent especially decorating the stand with all those flags. I suspect some didn't get home to well gone 4am if not later.

Trouble with Cole is that he relies on being "fed". For our last two seasons, it was all about Cole and the team was built around him, and rightly so. This season, he's barely featured so far, and with an entirely new midfield, they're just not used to having him and aren't giving him the service he needs. Last night, Cole did generally well and was feeding the ball to others around him when he got the chance, but barely anyone reciprocated, basically just Watts who assisted for Cole's goal and also that brilliant cross but found Cole offside.

Cole took his goal well and was unlucky with a long range shot but he has to do more to get in behind. We were swamped by Exeter because they knew they could push high up the pitch due to Cole always being stood in front of the CB's. He has no movement at all which makes it hard for the midfield to find him in any space
