Probably divert some of the managers wage to the player and take in a cheaper manager

They won't be saving much money as Duncan Ferguson due to be announced as manager this afternoon

they clearly need a rocket, sleep walking back where they came from.

28 minutes in 1 down, bizarre Red card all day long a red card they just gave it to the wrong fella. initially a good spot by the lino then between the Ref and the lino they sent the wrong player off, with him even saying it was me Ref.

62 minutes against 10 men, they just did not commit to any of their attacks, looked like they were scared. well they should be scared now.

The most fearsome forward in Prem history now managing those nice vegans at FGR. Surely he will insist on having red meat back on the menu?

FGR have now brought in 2 loanees and 7 for undisclosed sums. They've sold 1 and loaned 1 out plus got a new manager. Average gates well below ours. How does that work?

Simples really. Get yourself a very wealthy owner, in their case Dale Vince, who will bankroll the club with serious amounts of money. Oh for a Dale Vince at Morecambe!

FGR was one of the clubs that Nixon mentioned being interested in signing Cole Stockton. Hopefully we will have told Vince where to stick his vegan pie !

Just wonder how the EFL fair play rule regarding limit of 60% of income can be spent on wages pans out here.

If the owner puts money in to buy shares then that money is regarded as turnover for wage cap purposes. But a loan from an owner does not qualify as being treated as turnover.

That's my take on it but an anorak may know.

Does seem like an obvious loophole which makes the ‘fair play’ rule a bit redundant.

I *think* (so won't name the club, just in case!) that one club's owner's business rents offices at the ground at hugely inflated rental, so the money is 'legitimately' in the club, for the club to spend.

On the one hand, yes, that would be great. On the other, I always think of Griggs, taking over and merging two non-league sides, to create Rushden & Diamonds. Bankrolled them in to the Football League. Then decided to move Doc Martin's shoe production to Asia. He got bored. Club folded. The fans of two historic, non-league sides lost their clubs, because a rich man bought a play-thing, then got bored. If Vince gets bored, or his business takes a hit, how sustainable will FGR be?
