Final Table Prediction?

Final Table Prediction?

Postby Keith » Sun Mar 12, 2023 11:46 am

My predictions have us relegated by five points. BUT, that's with me predicting a defeat to Milton Keynes. If I'd predicted a victory for us, down there, we'd stay up and MK go down instead.

How do your predictions have it? Can we still make the play-offs?

Interestingly, if you don't select any teams, and let their computer predict everything, then we stay up by one point, Oxford, Cambridge, Milton Keynes & FGR going down. I'll take their prediction right now, thank you!

My prediction is still for FGR, MKD, Cambridge and Accy to go down. Us and Oxford just staying up
but that is with us winning our next 3 as Keith says. Nail biting couple of weeks coming up.

Re-done it today. I've predicted two more wins for us. If we do win both, I have us not only staying up, but finishing in 19th.

But, if we win one & draw one, I'd have us going down.

I have a horrible feeling that we will go down as the top of the bottom four. I think Oxford will escape as they have an easier run in.

I personally think its likely we will get another four points. So my prediction is:

Oxford 19th - 45pts
Morecambe 20th - 45pts
Mk 21st - 44pts
Cambridge 22nd - 44pts
Accy 23rd - 40pts

Hopefully we can muster 47pts though which will surely keep us safe

Oxford have not won for 17 games. They do have an easier run-in, but their confidence must be rocked. With form like that, they should be dead and buried already.

So many permutations, but IF we can beat Lincoln City (which will be difficult the form they are in) and Accy lose to the Trotters tonight - then the best result for us at the weekend is a Stanley Victory over Oxford.... because barring a swing in goal difference, Accy would not be able to catch us; and we would leapfrog Oxford (assuming they don't beat Cheltenham).
