Not convinced that the current option will stay around in EFL2 which goes back to my belief that a local consortium will come forward and get the club for a song. Still my preferred option despite being criticized for my preference on this forum.
I doubt you'll find anyone on this forum who wouldn't agree that a
local consortium is their preference too. Why you get criticism over this is because you don't provide any evidence that such a consortium even exists. If it does exist, then happy days. It is certainly my preference too. But, it has to be more than simply your
wishful thinking before it is taken seriously.
Also, as I said elsewhere, if Sarbjot Johal's interest is genuine and his funding is legitimate & available, then obviously keeping his bid back until we know which league we're in next season makes complete sense. If it was your money, would you buy now for [
say] £5 million, or wait, and if we're relegated, get the club for [
say] £3.5 million? I know I'd be waiting. If he buys now, he can't invest money in the playing side, to improve our chances of staying up. I'd be saving the cash, then investing it in the club next season, rather than giving it to the current owners. If we stay up, then pay the higher price. [Figures for illustration purposes, I've no idea what the actual value is.] Again, your 'evidence' that Johal's interest isn't genuine, appears to be based upon 'gut feeling' rather than 'evidence'. You may be correct, we'd all love to know, but right now, you're just basing this on guesses.
That is why you get the criticism.
