Wigan just got docked 3 points for a similar offence.

If we receive the same then that's League 2 here we come.

Sounds like the owners trying to play a dodgy trick to force the sale through.

We've had a low budget under them but we've always been somewhat sustainable. Can't be signing ex premier league free agents and then have no money to pay player wages in the space of the same month.

The EFL (hopefully) aren't stupid. This won't force their hand on the potential sale and all it will result in is us receiving a points deduction.

The money's coming in so where is it going? If it's not paying off debt (we were supposed to be debt free) it must be going to the owners.

Bond Group Investments has experienced a delay with incoming funds

Did they think the sale would of gone through by now and simply run out of funds?

But there's little money "coming in". ST sales came in last summer, no recent player sales, no recent cup runs, sponsorship etc would have been paid for at the start of the season, so the only "income" this month is from selling refreshments, a small number of ticket sales (no big visiting teams this month), and hospitality. Refreshments and hospitality won't net us much income because of having to pay for the food, wages and VAT. I think at this stage of the season, we're always reliant on owners pumping in money to pay the wages etc. Either the owners are dragging their feet (or have no money), or the club's management have botched up their cash flow projections and were late realising we had no cash to pay the wages.

Guessing Jason has had to borrow some money to cover it if he is waiting for funds.

I thought we were breaking even so makes you wonder where the money has gone.

Possibly spent on putting on the summer concert which doesn’t seem to be selling very well looking at the amount of flyers still being banded round and now emails !

If we're honest, this is most likely a move from Jason and Colin to try and force the sale through. What a horrible pair they are. Utterly selfish and damaging for the club, but most importantly and pressingly leaves our staff in a potentially difficult position over the coming days with bills etc to pay. While Jason and Colin play their little ego games, it's the players, management and staff who suffer.

On the points deductions - I don't think this will happen for the time being. It took a number of late payments for Wigan to actually be slapped with the punishment. I imagine there'll be some kind of warning, but a points deduction would only come in if the late payments happened on numerous occasions.

What a stupid remark. We all know it's Bond Group causing this nonsense. Why try and shift the blame onto hardworking staff members who are trying to boost the revenue of the club?

Quite agree with the bond group quote little shrimp , but if margins are tight I don’t think gambling on a concert is the right thing to be doing , only my opinion .!

These concerts are an EFL thing and I don't think Morecambe fc have put that much into it.

Interesting, why would EFL be pushing/financing concerts? Morecambe FC not putting much in, do you mean money? Cos they seem to be putting in lots of effort to shift tickets

I'm not saying it's not in the best interests for this concert to work but the EFL do all the ground work.
It's at Ipswich town and Cheltenham the previous weeks

That does suggest that it is being underwritten by somebody so the club should be protected from any financial losses on the concerts.

James from the board features in the podcast, telling it as it is. But there is good news to share, so we have the MFC women’s Chair, manager and Hannah the midfield on also.
Out tomorrow.

Wages still not paid as of this morning.

It's looking a bit ominous :( :( :(

Will Derek have a full team to take to Barnsley tomorrow or will some/all of them strike due to not being paid. Could be a premature end to L1 for us!
