Morecambe 1 [Weir] Plymouth 3 LIVE thread

The damage yesterday wasn't us losing to the top of the league, it was Accrington & Cambridge winning while Oxford & Milton Keynes both got excellent draws. We gave it a go yesterday, but surely no-one seriously had this marked down as a winnable match? It's just so frustrating that we 'give it a go' against Plymouth, but not Oxford etc, which is where the damage was done.

Why.... :?: :?: :?:

I've remained loyal for 67 years and had worse times than this.

We will still be an EFL club next season facing the likes of Wrexham and many others who would give their right leg to have played in EFL1.

I hate to choose the expression but....'part time glory hunter' is the only fitting description I can give to you and others who may decide to leave.

No doubt you'll come running back when we are in a promotion chase next season.

Hint of a deflection for Mayors goal to equalise according to their fans, and having watched him over the years, show him on his left foot FFS.
Souarre had strange game, head butted two advertising hoardings and their bench, then got caught out for the second!! Eventful.
The third is forgivable as we were chasing it in injury time, and I’d rather have a go than capitulating meekly.
However, the turning point was Cole’s effort saved at 1-0 in the second half, he shanked it, if he’d got hold of it and scored, different game.
League Two is warming up, it’s been a wild ride, but a return to our old stomping ground is imminent.
And for those that don’t want to come, fair enough, stay away, dont buy a season ticket, but some of us are Shrimps fans and will still be cheering them on. :D

Exactly....some of us have come through much darker days when we visited Bacup on a cold rainy Tuesday night. EFL1 has been an experience and one that nobody can take away from OUR club.

Some of us will remain whatever the league. Gutted..yes...but far from down....next season whoever is the manager will be excellent... :!: :!: :!:

I'm hoping that many/most of the people saying they won't renew their season ticket in League Two are simply expressing frustration, and will reconsider once the season is over. If we can still offer very competitive prices, hopefully we will see another good uptake and fans will return, including those who are currently saying otherwise.

Going to Portman Road for our very first League One match was one of my top Morecambe experiences. Thinking back to the FA Cup, when we were Conference and they were about third in the Premier League, to then meeting as peers (and holding our own!) was surreal. Morecambe, playing a League match in front of about 26,000 fans? Bizarre! The gulf between the top of League One, and the bottom is huge, so while it would have been great to do it all again next season, even with another season of struggle, dropping in to League Two is still a lot better than Northern Premier League at Goole or Matlock!
