So how did that work out then?

The strike from Cole at Charlton wins it for me.... but who knows the best could still be to come.

However....

I can't believe both the Ryan Delaney strike @ Burton Albion and the Jensen Weir goal @ Bristol Rovers have been omitted. Whoever put this shortlist together is clearly clueless. Definitely a recency bias within the selections.

My top 5:

Cole Stockton @ Charlton Athletic (stunning)
Ryan Delaney @ Burton Albion (out of nothing from an unexpected, clean strike, limbs)
Jensen Weir @ Bristol Rovers (one for the short corners are pointless crew to review)
Adam Mayor vs Port Vale (great driving run and finish, perhaps outside of Caleb Watts the only player in our squad scoring in that fashion)
Jensen Weir vs Cheltenham Town (for the build-up play, and one touch football involving Phillips)

Just missing out:
Cole Stockton vs Wycombe (great instinctive finish).

Cant believe the daisy cutter from Crowley that bobbled over the keeper has been selected. Clueless.

Yeah I watched the selection and thought are these really the best goals we have to offer?

Fair enough there probably genuinely aren’t that many to choose from this season but I’m sure there have been better strikes that haven’t made the shortlist.

To be honest with the exception of Cole’s strike against Charlton the other ones in contention are extremely poor! ( with the exception of the break away goal )I guess it must have been a lean year for good goals!
