All quiet on the Mazuma front.

All quiet on the Mazuma front.

Really am surprised how the club have not provided even a crumb of an update concerning the proposed takeover.... :o :o :o

The silence is almost deafening and not at the very least a snippet of info to keep the clubs concerned fans up to date with developments.....assuming that there are any.... :?: :?: :?:

Such a pity that the excellent weekly podcasts have come to an end as they provided a welcome insight on occasions from Board members....

It's only 3 days since the (non) retained list came out and confirmed that our greatest fears are probably true but it seems like a lifetime. The trouble is that whilst speed might be of the essence without knowing what's going on it's difficult to rally the fans behind any form of protest action. I just fear we are sleepwalking to disaster!

If, as we are told, the club is debt free am I right in thinking we cannot go into receivership and there would be no point in going into administration?

We may have repaid the loans, but what about this months' and next months' wages, what about the PAYE/NIC due to HMRC from the wages, what about the quarterly VAT due, what about suppliers? Lots of scope for anyone who the club owe money to, to put the club into administration. The most likely will be HMRC who aren't slow to issue winding up orders if they've not been paid the PAYE/NIC and VAT on time, especially as in our case, if there's a history of late payment.

I am surprised there hasn't been anything at all. Even if there's no real news, something is better than nothing. I'd be surprised if they have sold many season tickets this week and this was after so many folk telling me they were going to renew.

They seem desperate to sell season tickets so the only conclusion one can draw is they are afraid that any news they could give would reduce the chance of selling them!

Idle speculation like this, on here and elsewhere, will affect season ticket sales , bringing about a self fulfilling prophecy.

The club needs our support more than ever with all this uncertainty...the only way I felt I could show my support was by renewing our seaon tickets...
