What kind of commitment/work would be involved in that? I remember some request for help earlier in the season, but haven't seen anything since.

It seems to be becoming clear that the proposed new owner can't meet the EFL requirements and so we need to continue to look for a buyer. Why else would he still have not submitted documents required over three months ago? Any new owner will not be in place for the beginning of the new season and this then leads to the question how will we be able to afford any new players to be available at the start of our League 2 campaign? Worrying times for our club.

Updating it every week.
Just keeping it modern.

I'm on the wrong side of the ocean and I don't believe my schedule makes it possible to attend many meetings, but if no one else is available I can always give it a go.

Agreed, but unfortunately as a Twitter thread pointed out yesterday, the EFL doesn't actually have a way of enforcing a deadline on getting those documents.

Surely IF Sarbjot is serious about buying to run as a football club, he needs to get his finger out and do what's necessary to get the sale through. Why should the EFL have to enforce deadlines etc on someone who should be in a hurry, especially given we need to be identifying and signing players? It makes no sense for Sarbjot to be dragging his feet as he's just damaging his investment if this debacle isn't sorted out very quickly! It all begs the question as to whether Sarbjot is a serious buyer and whether, if so, he is serious about running a football club, or whether he has ulterior motives.

Think we have to forget Sarbjot’s application to buy the club as he seems unable to supply the details required by the EFL. What this means is the we are unlikely to have a new owner at the start of the new season. How then do we find the resources to put together a team? Seems like we are in the mire.

There are apparently other interested parties but who are offering less than Sarbjot, hence not of as much interest to Jason. But I think Jason would be wise to accept a different offer now as his "investment" will be worth zilch in a month or two if we can't sign players and end up going under!

Maybe not being able to sign players will be the kick up the backside that Jason needs to be more realistic. With relegation and letting most of our players go, the club is now worth a fraction of what it was six months ago when Sarbjot first started sniffing around.

I do think everyone is playing brinkmanship at the moment, including Jason, Our own Board, Sarbjot and other potential buyers.

Regardless of EFL clearance I'd expect all offers to now be off the table with relegation. Bond Group's lack of investment will bite them now. Just hope he takes whatever he can get now

As reported the Trust is going to have an open meeting for members/fans to put their concerns across hopefully sometime next week. We all need to come together in this uncertain time.

In many ways I'm glad that Jason and his rabble find themselves in this position of the clubs value going down after Sunday's defeat. I've never trusted him or them despite keeping us afloat but this day of reckoning was always going to come around.

I seriously hope that the current bid is now dead and buried and it allows a more local bid who have the interests of the club they already support to be accepted ASAP which allows DA to sign a new contract knowing that he has the backing and finances to build HIS squad for next season and beyond.

Following on from our statement after the announcement of the retained list and our open letter to Sarbjot Johal, we will be holding our open meeting on Thursday 18th May.

It will be taking place at the Exchange, Regent Road, LA3 1QQ. Doors will be opening at 7pm with the meeting starting at 7:30pm.

With so much uncertainty and concern following recent developments, we feel it’s important to try and get fans as up to date and informed as possible as well as listening to any questions about the situation. We will do our best to inform.

As handy as social media is sometimes, it’s not always easy to convey things on such platforms so we are looking forward to seeing members and fans on Thursday and discussing the current situation.

Plenty has been said on here about the need for action so I hope as many fans as possible will be attending on Thursday even if they are not Trust members. (Thus speaks one who will not be attending as, although I am a member, a round trip of 600+miles at 79 is, unfortunately, no longer possible for me.)

Great to see this been organised and will be there. Just hope from it can come a plan of action and it's not just individuals spouting random crap, I don't mean trust members just these things can sometimes go to shit when you open it up to the floor like at fans forums.

They should invite Sarbjot and Jason, if Sarbjot wants to win the fans over he would show up.

Sometime I do wonder if the worst happend and we had to start again we wouldn't have enough about us to do it. Hopefully Thursday will prove me wrong.

Not sure how much room there is in The Exchange but could it have been held in the Mazuma , either upstairs or if that's booked then in JB's Bar ?

I thought that too. It would have been a good opportunity for the club to make a bit of profit from bar sales. Perhaps the club want to distant themselves from the Trust?

I'm sure this was the case at the original meeting of the trust when we had it at the Cricket Club it has to be seen that the club is not officially involved.

The Trust met with a representative from the Supporters Federation and advised us that meeting should be held in a neutral venue.

Quite a big debate on the Facebook page about the venue for the meeting.

Rod thinks it should be at The Mazuma and from a logistical point such as parking and size that makes sense and as Rod says it is the town's club we are discussing.

He also said he hopes there may be some more positive news soon.

As reported we've taken advice from the amazing Supporters Federation that we should hold it at a neutral venue. It's started a massive debate from Rod that it should be held at the Club as some might see it as we are trying to devide the board/fans

If I'm honest these suggestions are just not true .... we'll battle on together

I can understand Rod's view and the fact it would bring money in to the club at this time is important but the Trust is independant from the club and might have conflicting views to the Club. I think people will be more likely to speak freely away from the club at such an important time for the Football club.

It might be beneficial if the BoD's called a meeting if at possible to explain their stance.
