I live with a Darlo fan and he raves on about Rob Purdie, he said he deserved their player of the year. Apart from that Franz Burgmeier would be awesome, and he would suit our system brilliantly.

Burgmeier only got 2 goals from 30 games, we rely on our midfield for a few, think Drummys
better.
Shame they don't own Liam Hatch but as mentioned here regularly Pawel Abbott could be good
Purdie always looked decent when he was at Hereford, scored against us in the play off semis

Burgmeier is a left sided player and very capable at LWB, so a completely different player to drummy. Besides scoring isn't his game, hes all about putting quality balls into the box and also very useful from set plays.

Burgmeier - A good crosser of the ball who can play left wing or left back so would fit in nicely as a left wing back.

Maybe Neil wainwright could be a good influence on some of the darlo players in getting them to move to christie park

Possibly, but I'd rather sign 3 players of proven quality on high wages than 5 of questionable ability on reasonable wages who would only make up the bench.

We don't know what classes as 'high'wages but lets suppose its £1250 a week.

3 on that figure would amount to £3750.

5 on resonable wages of £750 equates to £3750.

I know which I'd prefer.

Great point. From what i've heard though, Penney will be taking some of them to Oldham with him. Abbot and Austin favourites to follow him with possibly more.
