Season ticket

I think it's a great effort so far.

If we can achieve over 2,000 and then factor in the price increase , the revenue from season tickets won't be far away from last season.

I hope they extend the early bird offer by a week or so and this will create a market situation to sell some more.

I think 2000 would be a great achievement under the circumstances.
It took me a while to find last years figures:

1806 Standing
1007 Seating
2813 Total

The uplift in price would cover some of non-renewals.

Is there an online "Totaliser" somewhere showing number of STs sold to date?

2000 season tickets would be excellent and if we got that figure plus say another 500 on the day sales plus let's say an average of 500 away fans that would guarantee a crowd of 3000 per game which would be brilliant.

Not sure what the crowds were like in EFL2 last time but would be comparable I would think.

Well done everybody and a word of praise for the BoD in offering fans such good deals pre season.

Just need some team news now to build the anticipation of what will be a good season.

Most players will be on holiday now, so only rumours and speculation

I think Ben Sadler in his regular report mentioned there were 1,800 sold by early June. I hope he updates that figure in his next broadcast. If we can reach 2,000 that will be a great achievement and with the price increase our Season Ticket revenue won't be down to much compared with last season.

Apparently there was an official announcement on Twitter that we’d sold over 2000. Don’t use Twitter so didn’t see it myself.

Didn’t they say that the tickets are being posted out about two weeks before the start of the season? I remember reading that somewhere but no idea if it’s true.

Brilliant effort from everyone. Absolutely nothing to be excited about but in the main our new fans have stuck with the club.

I think STs are now an app, unless you paid extra for an actual ticket.

If we start the season playing well maybe some of the lapsed ones will go and purchase a season ticket or become walk-ons.

Fantastic effort with everything that has gone on.

Would be interesting to see a breakdown between standing and seating tickets sold.

I hope the club are still pushing those that haven't renewed to come and enjoy the fun.

Last 5 league 2 home attendances:

Crewe - 2872
Macclesfield - 1611 (Tuesday night)
Mansfield - 1965
Cambridge - 2019
Port Vale - 1639 (Tuesday night)

Average attendance for that season was 2,264

With 2000 season tickets sold, on the day sales and decent away followings I think over 3k average attendance should be the minimum.

My memory is dreadful, so I may be wrong, but weren't these games 'home fans' only due to COVID-19 restrictions? I know the play-offs were home fans only, in both legs.

These attendances were home and away fans. It was the season that was running normally until Covid hit. The season was curtailed and league positions calculated on points per game type basis.

By some very rough calculations, we are probably only going to be about £50-60K down in season ticket revenue from L1. Imagine if we'd had some positivity from a decent new owner and a bit of investment.

To average 3,000 in L2 with a limited budget is brilliant. Just goes to show that the board were right to offer the cheapest FL season tickets to bring on 1000+ new regulars.

Okay, thanks so that was 2019/20 not 20/21. I can't remember when did fans begin attending games again? I know I was there for the Tranmere home leg, and that was my first, post-COVID game, but can't remember if there were games at the end of that season, or if the play-offs were the first ones?

That season (20/21) was all behind closed doors apart from the 2 play offs against Tranmere which were limited to 3,500 at Tranmere and about 1,600 at the Mazuma plus the Wembley final (9,100). There was one of our games (away at Colchester) where about 1,100 fans attended as one of a few trials across all sports as the Government looked to restoring attendances. The following season, of course, we started our League 1 life in front of 21,000 fans at Ipswich.

This thread started off in May with concerns about where the money could go with the sale of OUR club at that time still undecided.

Move on and we are now a few weeks away from the start of season 2023/24 and we are still in limbo unsure when or if the sale is any further forward.

Must be horrendous for our BoD unsure what the future holds.....
