Ash Hunter would be good. He didn't set the world on fire last season, however we supported him through a bad injury, so a season in L2 with us might be good for both parties. I'd be surprised if anyone in L1 come in for him but we could lose out to another L2 club with a bigger budget.

We could lose out to a Conference or even a Conference North club with a bigger budget.

AFC Fylde , Oldham , Chesterfield etc

Agree.....BUT I think we should be backing DA and give him all the credit he deserves for assembling a squad that should be competitive in EFL2 even though we believe are budget is below that of clubs outside of the EFL structure.

Money isn't everything, it's down in my opinion to the manager getting a squad that gels due to their ability not on whether they are on big bucks.

Everybody is saying that Wrexham are odds on for promotion. I'd love it if for all their wealth that they find life in EFL2 a hell of a wake up call....... :) :) :)

I think Derek has worked wonders this close season.

He has assembled a really decent looking squad made up of youth and experience.

Think Wrecsam will find life much harder without Mullin for the first month or two, plus the upgrade in standard from non-league. Parkinson appeared absolutely devastated about Mullins injury, that's how important he is to them. Unfortunately we don't play them till November and he will probably be back by then.

As someone else said they have a massive target on their backs for all other teams this season, being the Billy Big Bollocks club and all. Play Offs at best?

To say Hunter didn't set the world on fire last season for me is a bit of an understatement. He came with a decent reputation and no doubt wasn't cheap wages wise, but I can't remember one game where I thought he was impressive. On the contrary I thought he was bang average. It would be a big no from me taking him back, even at EFL 2 level.

I saw enough to think he could be a decent L2 player. His injury pretty much wiped out his season, so was only getting up to speed in a handful of games in a struggling L1 team
