I suspect this is crap news for us. Sky will be falling over their favourites, who will receive even more cash, while teams like Morecambe will only ever appear when playing a favourite, so the have's will get more and the have-not's will get an occasional scrap. And the ban on 3pm games being shown live remains.
They could have scrapped that rule, then made every game available over the internet. They could have sold subscriptions and split the money paid equally. I can't see this being good for us. We may get [say] 15% more income from broadcasting rights, but if Wrexham/Stockport/Notts County (or the equivalent media darlings in the league at that time) get 150% more, then the ability to compete on a level playing field just gets further away.
