It was a really crap draw for us (again!). May have been useful to squeeze through on penalties and perhaps get a decent draw in Round Two, but not to be. With a wafer-thin squad, it may be a blessing to go out.

Should have let the women take the penalties.

Jason got lucky taking the money when we had good cup runs

Sounded like a decent competitive match, and not ruined by the officials, and which we could have snatched before full-time, so close .... and I must say thanks and well done to Matt Houghton for his no-nonsense commentary on iFollow, kept it very lively and interesting!

Hopefully DA confirms In the interview that Adam was rested. Good to see Taylor get minutes. Agreed with a small squad. Could be a blessing going out. Hopefully a bit of of a confidence boost though. Drawing away from home to a champ team after 90mins

Penalties are nothing more than a lottery. Some you win some you don't and often it's not the better team on the night that goes through.

For me I'm not too fussed about not progressing 'cause with our small squad I'd hate to get injuries say in another round and suffer accordingly in the league.

Hope the news about Adam being rested is the truth but some time we will have to accept that his future is with a so called bigger club providing we get a realistic figure for him and not the peanuts we sometimes get which would enable DA to delve into the transfer market to develop the squad in numbers.

Only concern is if Jason says he goes and takes some of the money for his own piggy bank.

Thank God that Wrexham went through.
Who on earth would Sky have shown in the next round if they had gone out?

The coverage last night was a proper Wrexham love-in, to the point of embarrassment.

I imagine that they are already sorting out the arrangements to cover them again in round 2...

Couldn't agree more. He did a great job. I normally listen to the oppositions commentary as Dave Salmon (I'll try not to disrespect him) doesn't describe what's going on on the field and is all #tag and twitter :(

They normally only feature teams from the NW region that win but Barrow were playing Bolton from Greater Manchester so that's why they got mention !

Surprised that DA didn't give a run out to those squad players who didn't feature on Saturday and in particular to Stokes who featured very little in pre season.

Is he injured or simply not up to speed yet... :?: :?: :?:

However on the plus side Taylor made an appearance after recovering hopefully from injury but must be a question about his long term fitness as was highlighted at his previous club.

Didn't we pay a fee for him.... :?: :?: :?:

I think the King put out a strong team to try and win the game and make some money in the next round in the event of a plum draw. It nearly worked but the Millers keeper did 2 great saves to stop our penalties.

I wonder if Sky will find an excuse to cover the classic Wrexham v Bradford in round 2

I'm reliably informed, had we won the penalty shoot-out, the number we would have had in the draw would mean we'd have a home game v Burnley. That would have been a full house and quite probably live on Sky, so the best part £250k
