Bradford game

Postby Born again Bill » Fri Aug 11, 2023 11:10 am

A work colleague of mine who has always been a Liverpool fan ( not a season ticket holder) has become a little disillusioned as he has not been able to get a match ticket at Anfield since well before COVID.
So, (bear with me) He came to a match at Morecambe with me last season using my wife's season ticket as she was ill and was impressed with our set up and was grateful to watch some live football.
( im getting to the point now ) He rang up yesterday to get a match ticket for the Bradford game in the family stand and was told he couldn't have one because he hadn't attended four matches last season !!!!!. since when was that a thing ? . lets see how many empty seats are left in the main stand on Match day

Bloody ridiculous. So much for wanting to encourage new fans and the occasional attendee.

Is it a measure that has been put in place for this game to stop Bradford fans from buying tickets in the home areas. They have sold out their allocation and I'm sure that there will be a number of disappointed Bratfud fans looking at different angles to get to the game.

i totally get the issue with Bradford fans trying to get tickets, but it might be worthwhile getting in touch with the club to see if you can buy a ticket on their behalf, using your season ticket as proof. Just a thought.

A mate had the same issue. He has half shares in a season ticket at Old Trafford and attends at the Mazuma when he can. He wanted to get tickets for the Bolton game and went to the shop and she wouldn’t sell them him. This was because he has no history on the computer, he has borrowed my wife’s season ticket most times when she can’t come, and one time bagged another game in hospitality. So he range me and I had to go down to the club shop and vouch for him. They were fine with that, so it is doable.

I'd agree, both of you go to the shop together.

Sensible of the club not to sell tickets for a big game without some history. Didn't lots of Bolton fans buy tickets for our previous home game, with no intention of coming, so they could get tickets in the home end, but the club still didn't sell them as they needed four games? We got a bonus the game before though, so that was good!

So how did that work out then?
