Rawson's going off!

Barely a foul, let alone a yellow card!

Sounds as though it was controversial and now it's 2-0 as a result of the free kick given.

I thought the free-kick was ours, not theirs. 50-50 challenge at best, so not a yellow card. There have been far worse challenges in both directions that the ref didn't give anything for, let alone a booking. It's been far from a dirty game.

Ref's given us nothing. McKearnon taken off after an elbow in the face, gets nowt, yet Rawson goes off for that?

But it doesn't help. Mellon just shoved by their defender as he jumped for a ball, on the edge of the area, nothing given, then seconds later, another 50:50, yet again given to Harrogate.

We've been poor since about the 12th minutes, but Harrogate have definitely been helped by the ref.

FFS! Ref is a joke! Slew was blocked, then grabbed as he tried to go past their player. He pulls back and a free-kick to Harrogate. He's giving 40-60's to them now.

Should be 3-0 big miss.

Their player just went right through our player, we got a free-kick, but where's the yellow?

DA needs to bring in some experience but will his budget allow it.... :?: :?: :?:

OK with youngsters and loanees but when the going gets tough do they have the experience to cope with it... :?: :?: :?:

This could be an up and down season with no consistency in our results. Not surprising when we've had to bring in almost a new team.

Let's see how DA reacts to the defeat and whether he can bring in some experience.

Still think we should be judged after 10 games. :?: :?: :?:

Just got home. Overall impressions of today were of yet another over fussy referee and we came out on the wrong side of his decisions. That said Harrogate were a bit better than us overall so you can’t begrudge them their victory.

The set up at Wetherby Rd is barely above non league but they have a wealthy owner (managers dad) who has pumped many millions into the club. Their fan base is similar to Accy (very poor) so they are yet another club kept afloat by a wealthy benefactor. If only we could find one!

If the away form doesn't improve it's going to be a nothing season

Two away games and only 1 shot on target

Not good enough at any level

Were you there ?

I was and we were sawn off by the referee and also the female assistant on the away fans side of the pitch.

The penalty would never have been given under the VAR system , blasted at him from close range. The ref and assistants ignored shirt pulling by Harrogate players all afternoon but penalised Morecambe for very little. The foul which gave Rawson a 2nd yellow was a foul by their player !

We need an experienced frontman in this week to compete with physical teams like Harrogate , our young front 3 are easy pickings at the moment for older defenders.

Totally agree as I've been saying all season BUT will our finances allow it and does such an animal exist within our budget :?: :?: :?:

For me DA should forget about getting 2 in and concentrate on just the one and pay accordingly.

I suspect it will be touch and go as to whether we bring someone in just to bolster the squad.

Listening to DA's recent interviews when asked the question by Quinny and others he doesn't sound that confident.

Hope he can bring some quality in but I suspect if he does it will be another youngster with little if no experience in the mans game which is most certainly NOT what we need. Too many inexperienced players in key positions already for me.

I disagree. Faz's arm was at an 'unnatural position' ie, it was out from his body. I think that was the one 'big decision' that he got right.

I agree with you there. In my opinion, Rawson was fouled, at best/worst it was a 50/50 which is almost always given in the direction of the defender. To decide it was a foul on their player AND worthy of a second yellow was incredible. A few minutes later, there were two heavy fouls on Morecambe players. The ref played advantage after both, then when the ball went out of play, only booked their player for the second foul, but let the first guy off completely. Both were much worse than Rawson's. If he'd been consistent in booking players, to the Rawson standard, it would have finished with eight players each!

I have a feeling if we get a forward in it will be another 19 year old from an academy. I doubt if there's enough left in the budget for an experienced striker. Maybe Niasse could be the answer if he isn't fixed up yet :?:
