Doesn't your BT box work over the internet? I've never seen one, so not sure how they work.
Does your recordable DVD record TV? Does it have a Hard Drive? Could you record 'live TV' on to it?
Do you have a 'Freesat' or 'Freeview box'?
Does your new TV have Freesat or Freeview built in?
Do you have a satellite dish or a traditional, pronged TV aerial?
Ideally, you should have bought a TV with either Freeview (if you have a TV aerial) or Freesat (if you have a satellite dish) built in.
Assuming your BT box doesn't record live TV from another source, and only receives signal from the internet, and the DVD player is only used for playing DVD's and (final assumption!) you have bought a TV with a built in Freeview or Freesat receiver, that matches the receiver that you have then:
Put the aerial/satellite cable directly in to the TV.
Connect the DVD player to TV using an HDMI lead.
Connect the BT receiver to the TV using an HDMI lead.
You should then find live TV automatically, with BT on [HDMI 1] (or whichever number you attached it to) and DVD on [HDMI 2] (or whichever number you attached it to)
If this fails, you probably have an RTFM failure.

So how did that work out then?
