Looks like a very decent prospect ... Personally think we could have a 20 goal a season man (no pressure)

If Michael does get close to 20 goals this season i think we could quite easily make the play offs

Will be tough but a real possibility !!!!

What do other fans think ????

Big improvement from last season when he was 2nd fiddle. Now he has been given the opportunity he has taken it with both hands, long may it continue.

Cole who?
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

If Sick-Note Stockton had been dropped due to his couldn't be arsed attitude, and Mellon given a run in the side, who knows how different the world would be today? Perhaps League One last season was a step too far, but League Two this season, he looks superb.

So how did that work out then?

Talking of Cole Stockton, is he still at Burton Albion? He wasn't in their team yesterday and neither was he a sub.

Hope we have a “ no call back option “ in his loan deal if that’s possible

He’s been injured since a Carabao cup game in August

Not possible even though he is on loan for the season.

Burnley could recall him in January (like they did with Phillips) and loan him to another team. Hopefully Michael will want to stay here and Burnley may realise that he will develop better under the King than he would anywhere else.

Let's not forget that Michael is only on loan so DA will probably have to unearth another gem next close season....or maybe even sooner... :(

IF a new owner is in place ( :?: ) then maybe the finances will provide DA with a war chest to get a proven man in.

However Charlie Brown was one of DA's first signings and we are still to see him in action other than 45 minutes v Liverpool.

Is he injured.... :?: :?: :?:

it depends on whats been agreed and written up in a signed loan contract, they are all different.

ie. Man United had to pay out the remainder of season long loan fee for Wout Waghorst to Turkish club Fenerbahce who was and still under contract to Burnley.

Crawley at home on 14th Oct could be called off then with possibly Mellon, JJ and King all missing through call ups

I'd rather Crawley had to come for a night game at Morecambe. I think that would be a massive advantage.
Who remembers when we played them on a night game at their place and it was on TV?

yes a Monday night. It was played in heavy snow. We lost 2-1 and Twissy scored our goal.

Didn't think of this but it's a good point actually. A 10 hour round trip on a Tuesday night won't do them any favours.

I don’t think he can lead the line but I think if we played 4-4-2 with Mellon alongside Slew we would get many more goals than we do. Myself I think two up front with one of them able to hold the ball up and Mellon the goal fret opposition defences will have more to deal with and scoring goals will come. In the end he needs more support he cannot do it by himself which very few can, he has something no doubt but let’s give him a partner.
