Our next two League games are against 2nd & 3rd from bottom. These are the teams we need to put to the sword.

Currently two points off a Play-Off position, with a game in hand. Great to see the young lads getting international experience, but a fixture backlog already.

This says so much about the spirit within the group that King Derek has been talking about. Great manager with a great squad. BUT .... something must be done about the bloody awful officials.

Great win under very difficult conditions. Interesting that Derek took a chance with the substitutions in not taking off any of the yellow carded players. I know it's the right thing to do but next Saturdays cancellation means we'll be two games in hand and weekly double fixtures will be needed. Could tell in the later stages of the season. Anyway let's revel in the here and now :D :D

They are certainly playing for the KING! One day we’ll have some refereeing decisions go our way but at the moment we are doing the business regardless! Superb stuff.

Take a look at Derek's interview on the OWS.

He does a great impression of Taggart and says "there's been a murder" !

He also praises Donald Love and says he can play anywhere and the Love critics "are not football people" !

What a guy , we are so lucky to have him.

Brilliant to hear The King calling out the Donald Love critics. Some of the abuse the lad got last season was horrible to witness, I have said it before but Port Vale Away was the worst behaviour from our fans I have ever seen. He has never given anything less than 100% for the shirt but some fans seemed to have a personal vendetta against him. Fair play to Donald, he has never hid away and has been one of our better players this season.

Donald Love was made a scapegoat last season by people who know nothing about football

Derek made him captain (he sees him everyday in training etc) and he knows the game better than most of us

I think it's more the Morecambe FC Facebook page that has hurled the worst abuse at Donald Love , it is a cesspit of hate.

Some of the "fans" on there see fans from another team slating players we have signed and think it's all fact. They have abused Love and I must say Slew has received some unjustified stick. Derek sees Slew as the ideal man to bring on late when we are winning to hold the ball up and run down the clock. He has scored this season and was very unlucky to hit the post with a great shot yesterday.

Agree on Slew. He has put in some very good performances this season and similar to Donald, conducts himself very well.

I also agree about the Facebook group and Twitter isn't much better either. There has been an upturn in positivity towards Derek lately though which is good to see. Every fanbase has it's numpty's though.

Cracking win. We'd of all taken been where we are now before a ball was kicked. Onwards and upwards.

Donald Love does seem to make a few mistakes which is why he comes in for criticism but he never goes missing in games or shies away from the ball.

Remember our captain of old, Stewart Drummond, with his ‘Hollywood passes’? It would infuriate fans when we were losing a game, playing badly and Drummy would spanner a 40 yard pass into row Z but in reality whilst other players were playing it safe it was Drummy that was taking responsibility and trying to make something happen, even if it meant getting a barracking when the pass didn’t come off. Love seems to have a similar resilience and commitment to the cause which perhaps is why he’s captain.

Some of Donald's passing is absolutely 'Hollywood'. Most games he'll have passes, either long or short, that create something. I actually like him in midfield, as he can tackle, to break attacks up, and create, to get us moving. Until the ref got his predictable, red card out, he was having a great game in the middle.
