The Trophy Without a Name?

The Trophy Without a Name?

With the EFL Trophy game tonight, I was wondering, which of the previous ten sponsors stick in the mind the most?

Without Googling it, and giving the game away, or being a smart-arse and naming them all, like it was a quiz question on Pointless, name your 'top two', the first ones you think of. It will be interesting to see how the power of sponsorship works.

Of the ten sponsors, a couple of them were slight name changes.

So how did that work out then?

Now you have your answer in mind...

For me, LDV Vans & Johnston's Paint are the ones I immediately recall.

Completely different competition that mate.

The ZDS and Simod Cups were for the (old) First Division clubs who WOULD have qualified for European Competition in the mid 80's had English teams not been banned from Europe due to crowd trouble at previous games.

Johnstones paint in our house. Still call it the 'Tin Pot Trophy'.
