I don't *THINK* that's the case. If sent off in a game, the suspension is immediate, so he's on three yellows. But I may be wrong.

So poor. Never looked like scoring. Really disappointing way to lose. Barrow just snubbed us out. Not a shot on target. Got to be our worst performance this season. Just hope they get it out of their system and crack on for the next match.
Perhaps we have got too used to seeing sweeping attacking football. Tonight we weren't allowed to.
Onto the next one.

Yet another referee who gave us nothing and them anything. That was the real difference in this match. Awful pitch cutting up badly, not suiting our passing game. Well battled by Barrow. But hey, we can't be getting into top 3 so soon in the season!

I have found occasionally, if it is buffering, shut down computer & router, and reboot both of them. About 8 MBs is minimum to have a flowing image.

We could have played till midnight and not scored. Don't think the pitch helped though. One or two need to stop been so damn negative on here

Can we just take stock of where we are though? Did anyone think we'd be sixth going into November? It's a free hit Saturday. Then let's get back at it against Grimsby. (A cup run would be nice though)

I know it's only up the road. But 862 away fans? We only just managed to get that at home a few seasons back.

Onwards and upwards!

I don't think we're being negative, simply accurately commenting upon a very poor performance tonight. We've had a brilliant season so far, and we've got a very young squad. Hopefully, we'll bounce back on Saturday. Still got a game in hand, so can still go second.

Upon reflection. It wasn't the best of words to use. I agree though with what you've said.

Negatives.

Don't think Farman had a save to make.

Worrying news about what Barrow are alleging about one of our directors.

The pitch was barely fit for purpose with players struggling to keep their feet all night. In front of us some of the turf had come away from the soil underneath and it literally looked about half an inch thick with no roots to hold it to the soil. When it rains heavy this winter they are going to have some real fun and games on that.

Positives.

Our fans were superb all night. Passionate support from both the terrace and the seats.

Their pitch makes me appreciate our carpet at the Maz more than ever.

As has been said a poor pitch that prevented our passing game, great travelling support, suspect goalkeeping from Smith, a lucky escape for Senior and truly awful and biased refereeing- I know we have had plenty of poor referees but Mr Finnie was the worst and in my opinion should not be allowed to spoil any more games.

Well the run had to come to an end sometime.....but to Barrow of all people....

Sounds as though the cow field of a pitch didn't allow us to play our normal passing game but these things happen and with the wet weather this is something that we will have to manage.

Not too bothered about not being 2nd if I'm honest 'cause you are up there waiting to be shot down.

Barrow played as though their existence depended on it and with the assistance of probably the worst referee this season Barrow get the bragging rights......for the moment.

Barrow march on up to third with a 2-0 home win over Walsall last night on a pitch that - in the post match interview - the Walsall manager referred to as being "absolutely disgusting."

Walsall fans though shot him down and quite rightly said it was the same for both sides.

Our pitch isn’t great this season but we still manage to pass and move on it. We played some lovely stuff last night. It’s an easy excuse, same as the usual ‘long journey’ craic. You’ll note that no manager in the reverse fixture says “Well, we should be winning - Barrow have had a long journey” etc.

The frustrating thing is that Barrow and Newport both seemed like poor footballing sides and I’d honestly say we have better players than both those teams - but they both had the ingredients that we are lacking - organisation, tactics and the right mentality.

I would think for away games most if not all the Barrow players are picked up from the Manchester/Merseyside regions. We have a few players living in the area but most will be collected from pick up points en-route to away games.

Two of the Barrow side live in North Preston. Jamie Proctor and Paul Farman are parents at my wife's school!

Farman was on my train home from MK Dons. Lives in Cottam. I hope his kid is brighter than he is - he’d booked a train home at 5 past 5, which is a tad optimistic.

Intentional red card, shortly after half-time, sorted! Kev Ellison always picked up a fifth yellow card, early in December, so he could go Christmas shopping! Allegedly.

Oh, I don't know... The FA are using that excuse for you...

 As though the team had travelled on the day…

Supporters coach took 9hours, due to factors and got home just after 1. I went on the train and that was fun and games too.

Nobody I know will be claiming their refund, tbfl. You shouldn’t get a refund just because you lose.
