We’ve been allocated ref Martin Coy for the Lincoln match on Saturday.

ED has just moved up after one season in the National League so we haven’t seen him before. He gave out 61 yellows and 4 reds in 18 matches last season (3.39 and 0.22) and 57 yellows and 1 reds in 11 matches so far this season (5.18 and 0.09).

It’s BA’s first season in the EFL after only 7 matches in the NL! Last season he issued 36 yellows and 1 red in the 7 matches (5.14 and 0.14). This season he’s issued 69 yellows and 5 reds in 14 matches (4.93 and 0.36).
RJ was in charge and sent Rawson off when we lost 2-0 at Harrogate in August. Last season he issued 118 yellows and 6 reds in 30 matches (3.93 and 0.20) and this season 67 yellows and 6 reds in 15 matches (4.47 and 0.40).

I hope I'm wrong but I suspect Hollywood in Wales will get all the 50-50 decisions from a poor referee. How does a referee get promoted after a handful of games refereeing in the National League? Surely there are more experienced referees in NL who spend years waiting for promotion ? I often wonder how the promotion ladder works for referees as some diabolical refs seem to easily get onto the League list when they appear to have no talent or ability.
