The sniffing around has begun, not really a huge surprise but I hope we have tied him down or he wants to stick with us or better both

We can't tie him down. It could be another Phillips/Burnley situation where Accrington snatched him from us.

Our hope is that Burnley realise how much progress he has made under The King and also that Michael feels he is better playing regularly rather than warming the bench at a "big" club like Derby.

Wasn’t sure about loan deals whether or not he can be tied down or whether it is an obligation that the parent club can recall him even during a season long loan with us. Loan deals can be very complex sometimes

I think that parent clubs can recall a loan player at the end of the year,Charlie Adam is the manager of loans at Burnley FC,hear an interview on radio accy last week talking about his role.

If Burnley sell him, should we get a share? Just saying, we have made him shine, plus staying here would be best for Mellon, he can continue to learn and continue to grow.
