Didn't see a thread yet.

Good to know we can still score! I was nervous after Saturday.

Been working, but from what I've seen it's been all Newport, so not surprised they've ended up with a goal.

I'm at the game. Good first half, but soft goal. I thought we had three penalty shouts, possibly even four. The handball looked clear and Mellon trip, he had his ankle tapped twice. But, no replay, so it could be red-coloured specs. We hit the crossbar. Let's put it to bed in the second half.

We seem very flat this half, need to see the 2nd goal again but Smith seemed to be a bit all over the place.

1-2 after 57 minutes. We don't seem to be able to string two passes together at the moment.

This second half is painful let's just scrap stoppage time.

It's the same players out there that have kept an unbeaten home record. But today we haven't looked in anyway likely to win. Can't blame the change in managers for this performance.
Into 8 minutes of added time, got to go for bust now.
Got to say that we have played against 12 men tonight, ref definitely somewhat biased in favour of Newport.

Obviously want to give Ged benefit of the doubt, but somethings changed.

Really hoping we can turn this around. Would be disappointing if this is what the rest of our season looks like after starting to brightly.

After his performance at Harrogate you have to say biased. One crap game, but two?

He told Delaney to go off for a blood injury, keeper collapsed, and stayed down for four minutes while he had his dressing changed. The second he was done, keeper jumped up, and Delaney instantly waved back on. Their keeper took 16 seconds, holding the ball, and regularly held it for double figures.

Poor second half from us. Dreadful ref. Newport were crap. Our defence is poor.

just don't seem as organised in the last two game, and the player’s will miss Derek Adams screaming at them with the shape and marking at set pieces.

Ged spent most of the night shaking his head, waving his arms in disbelief and berating the 4th, bit late with subs as well but they fid take 5 minutes to get on, Melbourne even had to put his coat back on.

Some very one sided decisions, confidence appears to be dwindling, bet Derek was happy tonight

We said, "we need to change, but who?" There was no real quality available to change things.

I'll be amazed if we keep Mellon until the end of the season, he'll be recalled and sent out somewhere else in January. Bloxham was my MotM, and I suspect he'll be recalled too.

After a promising start, their first goal knocked the stuffing out of us and our confidence just went. The second half was painful to watch.

Newport defended well but were otherwise one of the worst sides we’ve played this season. If we can’t beat them then we are in trouble.

Utterly dreadful, biased referee. Stonewall penalty for handball not given in the first half and countless baffling decisions given against us.

I feel sorry for Ged. I hope he can string some results together but I don’t feel particularly confident.

The last two games makes you realise what a motivator DA was. We have been very poor and look like we are going to struggle for the rest of the season. Last night Newport were very ordinary but too good for us. Also, is there a worse referee in the Football League? In my book Ross Joyce is an awful referee and should not be anywhere near the Football League. He cost us the game at Harrogate earlier in the season and last night avoided giving any big decisions in our favour. He is a disgrace and I wonder what an assessor says to him after a game as he is so clearly way out of his depth. We see some poor referees in the league but Mr. Joyce is the worst.

The second half in particular was terrible, I could of played as Newport's goalkeeper in that half. Did he have anything to do other than time waste?

For the first time this season I've looked down the table.

It was a bright start with some nice moves and a bit of pace to our play for 25mins. I thought we were the better team in the first half but it was a pretty average standard of football from both sides.

The goals we conceded were really sloppy and serious questions have to be asked about Adam Smith. A keeper has to dominate his box at set pieces but Smith seems to panic everytime.

We have a real quality on the wings and Tom had a massive advantage over Shane Mc but we never used him enough. Our best chances came from wide but we just kept lobbing it forward on to Delaneys head, bread and butter. Mayor at left back on Saturday reminded me of Barky at right back and there is a sttong smell of Bentley ball returning.

The atmosphere was horrible, the optimistic talk about promotion has turned in to "lets stick together" in a couple of weeks.

It looks like Ged was the only manager we could afford but can the club afford to go down? We had the best manager in the league and now we have a novice in charge. Ged has great experience and has worked his way up but seems to have been given the job on the basis of a good interview on Radio Lancs. I want it to work, we need it to work but something just doesn't feel right.

The Owner out campaign needs to begin now, Derek papered over the cracks and his leaving has shown is what a mess the club could quickly find itself in again.

I agree with all of that. A few weeks ago, our good start to the season was looking like a foundation for a serious play off challenge. Now it’s looking like a buffer against relegation.

Right now I'm beginning to hope it IS a buffer and that the buffer doesn't collapse. That didn't seem possible a couple of weeks ago but it does now
