Decent start. Been mostly in control. MK have had enough dangerous chances though to hopefully keep us awake.

I presume Slew is upfront and not senior.

A good battle developing, they look as though they can hit us on the break. Got to keep alert in defence. So far, so good.

Great through-ball, but poor defending. We've had some good chances, but nothing to worry their keeper.

They've done us on a break out! Sick, after we've had the best of the chances.

8-)   8-)

MK have had plenty of possession but only one chance, which they put away. We've had a couple of headed chances from set pieces, but neither troubled their keeper. Adam Mayor had a decent opportunity but the ball just didn't sit up for him, so instead of a shot, he came in deeper, then crossed for Slew. Jordan turned it on target, but a defender did well to get a touch and put it over. No criticism intended of Slew, but an out & out goalscorer, who is in form, would have buried it, I'm sure.

Next goal is huge.

Superb run & cross by Mayor, and a great finish by JJ!!!

If listening to the commentary, definitely still in when Adam crossed.

Brilliant goal. Thought the ball had gone out but Mayor kept it in. Great cross for the head of McKiernan.

COME ON YOU MORECAMBE REDS.

Another goal out of nothing. We stood off and their player shoots into the back of the net.
We need to tighten up at the back.

We're our own worst enemies. We've given the ball away several times this half and been made to pay for it. Now we have some not so subtle time wasting by the MK gang.

Connolly quite clearly was out of position, to put the second ball off the pitch. Ref had to blow up when two balls on. He had a really good game, but that one error helped to make it 1-3. Connolly needs to learn from that, and concentrate on the game, not the additional ball.

Never a 1-3 game, we deserved a draw, but they were more clinical than us.

What a sick result! How can play go on with 2 balls on the pitch? The score line FLATTERS them.
I still think that we gave the ball away far too many times, and some of the crosses were over hit.
We certainly missed Mellon.

Very good for 65-70 mins but you have to manage games better than that. It was chaos towards the end, we lost control of the game and could have lost by more.

No home win in three

We were good for 15 mins in the second half and that's basically it. We are very poor up front and i think the substitution were poor taking of our best players .. really feel we have messed up not getting a more experienced manager in..

we started off well, could of been 2 up after 10mins.

if Mellon is going to be out, id rather play Bloxham upfront, he’s just as strong as Slew for holding the ball up and he’s a better player.

I agree with Angler. In my opinion the substitutions were poor. How long is it going to take us to realise Slew huffs and puffs but is a poor finisher. I also think we need to sign a keeper in January!

Cast your minds back to the last time we played the Dons at home and on that day they out passed us and played us off the park.

Yesterday in some ways it was a repeat of that game. There were times when we simply could not get hold of the ball as they passed it to feet time after time after time. When we did manage to get hold of the ball we played some good football but all too infrequently. Our passing at times was dreadful and as a result it enabled the Dons to counter attack with speed something that their midfield players excelled at.

On the balance of play a draw would possibly have been a fair result but in contrast to last weeks 21 shots on total all we could muster was 8 which must have been of concern to GB whose master plan for the game was not carried out by his charges.

Team selection wise we were always going to struggle with Slew as the main man and for me he should have been replaced at H/T by either Walker or Brown and when Brown did make it from the bench he went out onto the wing as a replacement for Bloxham who at times was an option for the forward runs of Senior who lost the ball on too many occasions to be effective going forward.

Adam's cross for JJ's goal was superb but on too many times he over hit his crosses and they ended up out of play on the opposite side.

Without doubt we missed MM and it gave us an insight to what may happen if in January he is recalled for another loan to possibly a Championship club.....

GB is new into his managerial career and I'm confident that given the backing of the powers that he will succeed BUT it will be a tough learning curve for the remainder of this season and any thoughts of promotion should be cast aside. This close season he will have to rebuild the squad in his image....something that he will have to get used to....hopefully with the backing of new owners.....

Talking of which did others notice the two prosperous looking gentlemen who seemed very interested in what was going on not only on the field but off as well before they left to return to their new black Mercedes SUV and private number plated black Range Rover.

Wishful thinking on my part..... :?: :?: :?:
