Slew appeared to be booked for time wasting, while a substitution was being made???

We’ve stopped playing the ball on the deck. Too many long hoofs, that just come straight back at us. We need to go back to playing the ball on the deck.

Well it was coming. We have thrown away a two goal lead after looking the superior team 1st half.
Going to be lucky if we take a point now!

Bradford hit the crossbar, then the rebound just blocked. Struggling now. Will be happy with a point.

Battered 2nd half

Point away at a team who have just won 6 in a row is excellent

Notts County away and Harrogate at home doesn't get any easier

A breathless end. Glad to take a draw after that second half. We dropped deeper and stopped playing to feet. They did us in the second half, we did them first half. As the saying goes, a game of two halves.
We played some brilliant football in the first half, shame we couldn't hold on.

Can somebody tell me why we try and defend a two goal lead. Then we start playing hoof ball. We need a set up to keep attacking and playing football until we have a decent lead. In the second half we were sloppy, looked tired and uninterested. My opinion we were lucky to get a point against a team we ran rings round in the first half. We must improve.

Perhaps a tad harsh. They changed things around at half-time and were much improved in the second. I agree, we started to look tired, but disagree that we were "uninterested". They had an extra day off, having played on Friday. Yes, we began to hoof the ball, but that was down to increased pressure from Bradford. A 'game of two halves', and a good point in the end.

Even at 2v0 I thought we looked suspect when they attacked we look especially suspect on the space between the midfield and defence, once they get the ball 30 yards out we are all over the place

You could tell we needed a third to make it safe instead we sit back. If we were any deeper for their second goal the whole back line would have been on the goal line.

At the end of the first half when we were still 2 up we played some of the best football I've ever seen us play. Then after about 60 minutes we just seemed to panic. Like we didn't want the ball but we couldn't get it off them either. Maybe it was tiredness or nerves but we completely changed.

I don't like to moan about refs but there were some crazy decisions. Slew getting pulled back when he was through 1 on 1. Mckiernan getting kicked all over the place as always. Must be one of the most fouled players in the league but hardly ever gets decisions. I bet it drives him mad. Then right at the end of the match, Mellon nicked it past one of their players, would have been through but he got absolutely cleaned out.

All in all it was really positive though. At times we embarrassed them which is pretty great considering the form they were in. Tutonda continues to look a cut above, both centre backs were brilliant, Mayor is an absolute beast up and down the left.

A lot depends on what happens in this next transfer window.

A game of two halves, we batterd them first half they batterd us second half.

I wish we'd try Bloxham as C/F, and put Cammy Smith on the right wing when Mellon doesn't start.

I'd like to see more of Brown. He's got plenty of experience, but can't get a look in with us. Slew had a good game, despite what the 'haters' on the Facebook page say, and did really well for the goal he created.

When I first saw that we'd signed Slew I said...'what the f*ck....' but he's amazed and infuriated me this season.

He's NOT an out and out striker and I'm sure he'd confirm that BUT what he is and has done on numerous occasions is to hold the ball up and bring into play namely MM who has benefited more than once to that final through ball or inside pass to score some important goals so far.

YES he can be infuriating at times but he's surprised me with his ability and we seem to play better when both Slew and MM are on the pitch at the same time.

You haven’t changed. You come back after “calling it a day”, with your usual negative tripe. The month enjoying the match day threads without your negativity was good whilst it lasted.

It was an incredibly enjoyable game that we fully deserved our lead and point. What is your comment on the first half?

A great game that was a credit to League 2. We dominated the first half and Bradford the second. We perhaps need an old head in midfield to support the younger players and encourage them?
