Might as well give Pedley a chance. He cant be any worse than the current keeper!

Ooppps, another heavy away defeat looming. Second half of the season is going to be hard, teams know how we play and that is showing. Maybe a bit of lowering of expectations and staying mid table in div two is a good season with all the off-field problems still to be resolved. Oh dear me 4-0, help!!

Without wishing to make excuses they are a very good team. Streets ahead of us in all aspects :(

They are a good team but we have been absolutely awful. There is no pressure whatsoever on the ball and no closing down in our part. We look 2 yards slower to the ball than them. Shockingly bad performance .

I hope Brown has a club lined up in January, if he can’t even get on the bench today, with Mellon recovering from illness.

We hit the bar, so that’s something.

All their attacks seem to be coming down our right hand side. They have some very good players. I wonder what they are paying McGoldrick to drop down two divisions?

Anything above the bottom two will be a result. Then pray that for the first time in a long time we get decent owners!

Strange starting line up and the fact it was changed in first half suggests the manager realised he had picked the wrong team. He is putting himself under early pressure and people are bound to ask would this have happened under DA.

Basically we were looking like a side who were play-off material untill Stuart Moore got injured.

One can only assume that Mellon is still not match fit. ~Smith is certainly not commanding his goal area, several times he should have come out for crosses. The defence must feel very shaky the way he is playing.
Notts are able to command the play all over the park.

Give a run out in second half to Melbourne, Rawson, Taylor and Songo’o, from kick off.

I hate to be negative about our own players, but yes, that was the turning point in our season. Smith drops too many. Ref for the assist on their first, Smith at fault for second. From there, we were completely out of it.

Surprised Songo’o didn’t start, when we knew we’d need a strong defensive midfield.

If this finishes 4-0, I’ll be pleased.

Just wondering if some of the loan players will be recalled to their clubs in January as heavy defeats like Wrexham and now Notts County will do nothing for a young player's confidence. Their managers might prefer to loan their players to clubs that will develop players and boost their confidence rather than allow them to stay with us.

At least while they are doing the show off passing moves they're not scoring! They are a better team no doubt about that, and I didn't expect a win tonight. It got off to a bad start with the soft penalty and then the second coming so soon after really rocked us. When a team like theirs gets off to a flyer, they are not going to show any mercy.
We've just got to hope that our lads can come out second half and play for some pride, (and keep the scoreline down).

People on this thread on about expectations, we won and scored 0-5 the other week, but you just don't know with the Goalkeeping.

How many…

…rum & cokes needed to forget that 45 minutes? The delightful Mrs F just brought me another one… …this time one third rum! :D

5-0 straight from kick-off in second half.
