How far off!!

How far off!!

Postby Billy bodger » Mon Jan 01, 2024 12:09 pm

Well the second half of the season starts, what will 2024 bring?

Looking at how we are placed, how we have played, how with have coped with the big injuries we have and with many teams being financially better off and not in the mess we are with our ownership saga dragging on, I predict a very solid 64 points.

That’s 9 wins, 5 Draws and 9 defeats, to add to our 32 points (9 wins, 5 draws and 9 defeats)

What will make everyone happy is a new owner that is actually Intrested in taking Morecambe FC forward.

Probably not a popular opinion with some but I don't think it is in our interests to make the play-offs. If we look like reaching them it would make Whittingham hold on to his shares in the hope that the club's value would go up again if we were promoted.

I would be very happy with 55 points , 7 wins , 2 draws , 14 defeats.

as many points as possible incase we get deducted like 10 or 15 points or more later on this season.

Anything that keeps us up but I guess 60 or more would be good.

I think it will be tough to replicate the first half of the season. Another 20 points would be a great achievement if we continue in limbo and potentially lose some influential players

Ged said in his post match interview when asked about the January window..."Yea, we got a couple of lads lined up but obviously we'll lose a few of the loan lads".

Eli was the last player off the pitch. What a footballer he is and is going to be in the future. 100% effort mixed with natural ability. Was a pleasure watching him

Well it is hoped it will be good business then, as it seems he knows who we will lose and who he will bring in. The Transfare’s window is an important time of the year. I hope we can get somebody in that may take the club up a notch. I for one want a strong striker to come in, we are still in reasonably good place, even after this bad run we are on. I also wonder if someone will come in for a player under contract and how we would deal with that!! Will DA come calling? Is it worth cashing in on anybody?
