Is that because we are trying to push for promotion or is it to replace players, loan recall!! or sold!!,

We are trying to survive in the event of points deductions. Even then , unless the club is sold to proper owners it is possible that the EFL may decide in the Summer that we are unlikely to be able to survive financially for another season and relegate us.

Not sure that it's in the EFLs mandate to relegate any club due to what they see as being in financial trouble.... :?: :?: :?:

Surely they have to look into the clubs financial position in the long term and simply not as it may be at this moment. Any financial problems we have are due entirely down to the owner and NOT to our BoDs.

Our BoDs have and are doing everything they can to get a new owner on board.

Jason is the one holding it all up by simply being a greedy bas*ard....

I have a feeling that the EFL need to be certain that clubs have sufficient finance to be able to survive a season. One of our knowledgeable anoraks may know the answer.

"A left winger"

Not just loan players leaving? Hopefully enough cash to survive, and not asset stripping.

So how did that work out then?

Will Mayor still be a Shrimp on 1st February ? The club can't let a Cole Stockton situation arise here and end up getting Jack Sh*t for him. Although he is going to be under the age for which compensation has to be paid if he is offered a better contract , that doesn't apply to players moving to "foreign" clubs as we found a few years ago when Aaron McGowan went to Scotland. I can think of one Scottish manager who would be in the market for him if he does run down his contract !

I'd hope he's better than that, a Championship side perhaps? Decent transfer fee & sell on clauses? PNE or Blackburn Rovers?

It’s on our website, not surprised, could not break into the team. But he scored a great goal off the bench, good luck to him.

Was a bit surprised Walker didn't get more of a chance but as he's dropped down a level it's probably safe to say he wasn't of the quality required and wasn't showing it in training. A deadline day panic buy (loan) perhaps?

I think we definitely need to look at bringing in another keeper, perhaps on a short term loan. Other than that I expect a lot of our business to be reactionary. Plan A would likely be to keep Mellon, King, Bloxham and Connelly if we can but if those players are recalled I suspect we have a list of replacements ready to go. We should be able to make a good case for all 4 of those players to stay.

Also worth remembering that we've made a tidy sum from our FA cup run, I wonder if the plan is to invest that this window?

goal keeper for me, on average its every other week we have these mistakes and its basic goal keeping like getting both hands on the ball and still spilling it.

Winger Gwion Edwards has signed a short term contract today

https://www.morecambefc.com/news/2024/j ... y-arrival/

Experienced 30 year old player, had a good few years at Peterborough and Ipswich. Was even called up into the Wales senior squad on a few occasions but didn't make any appearances.

Looks like he might have tailed off a bit in the last couple of years and was released by Wigan at the start of this season. Clearly a decent player in there though so hopefully he recaptures the form for us.

Could this signing indicate Bloxham might be off?
