Adams going off to a standing ovation, superb debut from him.

What have we got to do to get a penalty??? Senior being dragged back, then down, free-kick to Mansfield???

How many pens we had in last 3 season ...won't be many

FANTASTIC point which feels like a win

I said I'm the prediction post that a point would be one of the results of the season and I stick to that

Mansfield commentary:

"Morecambe played well"
"A draw was a fair result"
"Morecambe deserved a point... ...it was a well crafted goal"

Looked a clear pen from the stands. None of us could believe when it was called against us. He was being pulled down for some time before finally going down.

Fantastic result. Wonderful performance from every Morecambe player. A well deserved point I don't think many expected. Looked good for the future.

Totally agree with Keith. Given all the recent "stuff" that has to be one of our best results / performances of the season. Well done all.

Mk Dons and Crewe next will be tough though

This is BEFORE the Mansfield player touched the ball. Look how far off the pitch his foot is, as he dived in. Senior was trying to get out of his way, and was clattered. They get a free-kick & Senior is booked, and they score before we regained full control.

I've re-watched the Senior penalty shout too. He was being tugged back, then gets an arm across his shoulder, yet instead of a penalty, he apparently managed to give a free-kick away???

Ref wasn't too bad, but I think he got two key decisions wrong.

Buzzing, after that. Feels like one of the best team performance I've ever seen from a Morecambe side. Left the ground feeling really proud. Incoming players all excellent, too. For me, really pleased that Jake Taylor did 90 minutes and looked the real deal.

Good to see the new loanees and squad players step up today. One or two more quality loanees in and we can start to look up the table again

For me the best game at the Maz this season. Totally deserved at least a draw and everybody put a real shirt in.

All the new boys impressed BUT the relevation under GB has been the form of Bedeau who has been given more freedom to go forward and is proving good at it.

Clough was really getting annoyed with his players and constantly having a go at them.

IF MM was still with us we would have won no doubt about that but good to see Charlei Brown get the goal which will do his confidence the world of good.

Word on the streets is that a certain centre forward from last season is looking for a return home....YES...

:) :) :)

I didn't realise any Morecambe born C/F's were released at the end of last season.

I’ve heard that rumour as well, as long as he brings his dummy and has lost his attitude and knuckles down for Morecambe FC it’s a choice if there is no one out there. Oh, on less money as well.

The first half was very good. Lots of movement and energy caused Mansfield plenty of problems. It was almost like the 70's Dutch side with players playing everywhere.

Their goal was soft, you can't leave a lad unmarked in the box like that. I think they did a bit of a number on us tactically.

Our goal was well crafted and finished well inside the 6 yard box. Yann has turned in to a box to box midfielder.

New signings all looked bright, JB was Carlos-esque and we had a good go at a decent side. Clough complaining about the wind is comical.

The pitch was in a poor state and by the sounds of it we need another headgroundsman.

Surprised to say the least after the week we've had, thought we would get battered today and would have taken a draw before KO.
New lads impressed and was quite amazed by Jacob on the wing.
Well done, more of the same please

Good to read a forum post match that isn't condescending and full of 'we sould be beating teams like Morecambe'. A lot of respect. Particularly liked this comment...

I thought Morecambe were very good .. vastly superior to the team we spanked 3-0.

Given the doom and gloom around the place after losing our loan players, I was really impressed yesterday, and feel like we could have a good second half of the season. A lack of depth to the squad is a concern, but if Ged can work his magic and bring in a few more good loan players, we can be looking up again.
