Burnley say No to DA

Burnley say No to DA

Postby redrobo » Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:22 pm

Scott Burns reporting that Burnley have told Derek Adams to look elsewhere for a striker as if they're sending Michael Mellon out on loan to a Scottish club then it will only be Dundee but that they've not decided what his next move will be as of yet (whether in Scotland or England) and they're negotiating a new contract with him before putting him out on loan.

Less bothered about him sniffing around players who belong to other clubs, more what happens at the end of the season, when he comes sniffing around our players.

So how did that work out then?

We only have one contracted player at the end of the season haven’t we so it won’t take much sniffing

A lot of people on S/V have already alluded to the Scott's Prem being no better than league 2. Even D.A himself said we were better. With that in mind, the only thing that could surely draw them would be a massive pay rise.

I think that is too simplistic. No-one would suggest that Morecambe & Celtic are on a par! The Scottish Prem has a wide range, from lower English Prem & top Championship to League One & Two, so it would still be a draw to a player, to play against Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen regularly.
