If he isn't one of the players Derek said we had an option on then £50k is top whack for someone with 3 months of the season left. Maybe Threlkeld's contract was extended as cover.

If this is true the Player must want to go? Maybe he’s been offered a 2-3 yr contract and more money to lure him! So who could blame him, hope it’s all a unfounded rumour.

We could only offer 1yr contracts, we could not offer anything else up till maybe about now, (Adam’s transfer & FA Cup money). Even then would Morecambe want to do that, do they need the money to pay off loans or interest on loans?

It seems a lot of money (and I mean a lot), has been used this way to have us debt free so we are viable to sell and yet since we were put up for sale, well less said.

The lad has really done well, you wonder why Carlisle let him go, it was strange he didn’t play last Sat when aged said he would have been fit for Crew’s game!!

For me Joel and a few other need to be offered new improved contracts now, in the end if they continue to do well we could sell for a dam site more than the £50,000 being quoted on here.

If the lad wants to go, then let him go. But, given his career so far, you'd think he'd be happy to be playing regularly. He's been let go a few times already. If he does go, for the rumoured amount, well, he's played for us for free.

As I said before that will be great, we should be offering him a 2 yr deal on more money, I know I know we don’t as a Club, have the finance to do that, but think differently and if we sell him next year we should get more than this rumoured £50,000.

Just don’t let him walk away at the end of the season.
