I've noticed a trend of our twitter account picking on a random opposition fan after a win and sharing their tweet to mock it. Normally some sort of negative tweet about Morecambe we can gloat about.
I'm probably just being over-sensitive, but I'm not a fan of that sort of "banter". It just feels like sore winners, and it can be harmful to encourage pile-ons. Our account has over 60,000 followers, it's unnecessary and unprofessional to pick on accounts with 100 or so, and inevitably causes our fans to follow and send replies. I'm all for banter between fans, but the official club twitter should be above that.
It doesn't seem to have caused problems so far so it might just be over-reaction, but we know how easily social media can turn sour. Why not just focus on our own positives after a win?
