New kit....new shirt sponsor.

Surely you saw through the "£10 special price home shirt" promotion?

New kit....new shirt sponsor.

Usually revealed at the sponsors do, that's May 30th this year.

Don't we have a four year deal with Puma?

More likely with the distributors who could also be handling the rumoured new Italian supplier macron who supply Leeds U and Sheffield U :?: :?:

Sheff Utd are currently with Le Coq Sportif, unless they're changing.

And if we signed a 4 year deal with Puma, why change after a year? Puma stuff seems ok to me.

Look under the England heading.

They now are also suppliers to Swansea; Rotherham; Daggers and Rushden for season 2009 /2010.

As pointed out previously it's only a rumour that we are changing.

I've a very good idea what colours contribute to the kit and I don't see them on the macron site.

Good point Brian, but notice the kits of Boavista; Sporting Biaga and CF Ciudact and the similar design. It wouldn't suprise me if ours isn't similar. Assuming of course that we are changing.

Macron are to be the official kit suppliers to the Football Leage from season 2009 / 2010. Therefore it's in their interests to kit out as many teams as possible. Which would suggest from a marketing point of view, financial benefits for clubs to change.

Macron are obviously taking over the Sheff Utd shirt supply for next season. In which case, if WE were going to Macron, you'd have thought we'd have been there too.

So where DID the "Rumour" come from CC? Or is it another of your made up ones?

And the cost of buying ourselves out of a 4 year deal with Puma is? IF macron are to be the supplier then I can see them slowly picking up clubs as they each come to the end of their existing deals. Unless they've got a ridiculously large marketing budget.

Most certainly not !

Any announcement will be embargoed until after the Sponsors do.

Rotherham; Swansea and the Daggers are also not on the macron site but it's already in the public domain that they are to change.

I hope they do change the manufacturer, the current kit is the widest shirt ever. It barely reaches below my waist but there's always a massive amount of material billowing about under my arms. It'd fit a rugby prop quite well.

The old Umbro ones were great though.

I second that. The puma kits we had this season were an awful cut, almost square. The design was nice enough but they were nowhere near long enough for the width.

I'm not the widest of people but I found the shirt sizing to be alright this year. Although the mopay logo is getting a bit frayed with all the times it's been worn.

Who's CEO is our very own chairman?

Same rumour I've heard, though I thought the design would be new. You'd hope that it would be for the clubs sake. Can't see people shelling out £40 for the new top when you could have got near enough the same thing for £10 at the end of the season.

Exactly, I don't think I'd be getting it if it was exactly the same but the with a different sponsor. A new design and I think more people would get it.
