Could well be that I've got my maths wrong but unless they win all their remaining 3 games and that Grimsby don't get at least one point from their remaining 4 games then FG will be relegated.

Could well be an interesting final home at the Maz vFG IF they need to win....

It is only the bottom two placed clubs that are relegated - FGR are three points adrift of Sutton United in 22nd with an inferior goal-difference. Its not looking good for the Villagers, who could be relegated at the Camp Mazu next Saturday (remember all those years ago when they were relegated from the conference on a Tuesday night at CP - but would ultimately be reprieved due to Northwich Victoria?).

Colchester United have games in hand, but have tough fixtures remaining. Their home game vs Grimsby (also not out of it) next Tuesday could be decisive. Its two from those four.

If FGR were to go down, it would be successive relegations for the Greens.... and potentially successive bottom-placed finishes. Quite surprising given the finances behind that club.

The Moose is under contract at the Mariners for a further 2 seasons after this one - so can't see him going anywhere anytime soon.

Seem to recall him being the favoured candidate amongst a large number of supporters when Derek left during the season - perhaps an emotive one. Unsure if he was a serious consideration by the club; he opted to go to Grimsby with reputedly other options available to him. If we were one of those options, then I'm happy with his decision.
