JW on talk sport.

JW mentioned 4 potential buyers and 3 are in the public domain!!

I take it from what JW said Sarbjot Johal is not ruled out, but the Americans DA talked about last year are out of the picture.

I cannot find much more information about the 3 in the public domain, I can only think that the Local Consortium and a mystery eastern buyer that has been said to be on the seen are two.

What’s the word of out there?

Sarbjot is certainly one and there are Americans but if the others are known by anyone on here they are keeping commendably quiet about who they are. If Argumentative were still posting on here you could ask him. He'd tell you it's none of your business. ;)

I started listening on Alexa at 11.45 and the interview was broadcast at about 11.47am.

I don’t know how long that was into the show.

The interview finished about 11.56am

Is that any help to people who want to hear the interview?

Thanks, it is! Just a point for anyone wanting to listen to the interview now, it's available for two weeks after broadcast but registration is required (name, birth year, gender and password).

Also, Beyond Radio have transcribed most of the interview at https://www.beyondradio.co.uk/news/local-sport/morecambe-fc-owner-hopes-to-agree-terms-on-sale-of-club-within-next-two-weeks/

Jason had better get a move on with the sale. If redrobo gets back and nothing has happened there''ll be hell to pay!

Has the Clown pulled off a masterclass and shithoused us once again? The heat was on with the Trust and Board both releasing statements and campaigns against him. The press had got hold of the story and he was under the spotlight on a national scale and it looked like he had no where to run at last. He then goes on TalkSport with a sob story and news of an impending sale and everybody seems to buy it and all the pressure eases. How many days on are we since that interview? We are still no nearer being sold and only a matter of days away from pre season.

I don't think everyone bought it by any means but I don't know what more we can do to keep the pressure on. If he has put the necessary money in to keep us afloat, which the board say he has, I haven't the foggiest what we should do next. The Trust donations have ground to a halt and the press/media have soon lost interest. Derek is undoubtedly beavering away to create some sort of team. What do you suggest we do next?

Certainly no wool over your eyes, my fellow Berlin Waller, is it because you look at things sidewards on?

There’s a little competition going on that may have knocked us off the sports news channels and if you can dig deep into your pocket and give a donation to the Trust go fund me it will help keeping it ticking over.

Otherwise chill, Derek the 3rd will put something together, I’m sure. You might even put some rose tinted glass on, though I think that might be a bit of a stretch for thee!

You have both got a bit excited and missed my point. I wasn't digging anybody out, I was just asking if he has played a blinder and taken the heat off by telling more fibs.

The Trust have tried to keep their campaign going and to keep it in the public eye. Saying that there is no point in trying to keep our plight relevent due to the Euro's is a little bit silly.

Exactly my thoughts.....

We know how devious he can be and in particular putting some of the lack in any sales process by blaming fans who he suggests have resulted in at least one potential owner walking away.

I don't trust him.....simple as...

As long as he continues to loan the club money at a high interest rate he's winning every which way he can.

You say you didn’t have a go at anyone in your first post, but then have a go at me for saying something I did not say or intimate.

Please re-read what I put.

You will find that I said it’s the Euros that is now sports news channels priority.

How on earth is that me saying or intimating there is no point in trying to keep the Clubs plight relevant? That’s just your vivid imagination.

Of course you are right the Club, Fans and the Trust should keep up the pressure on “the clown” and you can do that by donating to the Trusts Fund.

I have almost zero belief that the club will be sold within the 14 day period Jason set out.

The thing that has bought him time is the fact that he’s given the club a cash injection, which seems to have made the board of directors a bit more content. Mind you, perhaps he only did that because of the pressure from the board and the fans.

Yeah, cos the other doesn't have one...a face, that is...doesn't mean he isn't one though.

The writing was on the Berlin Wall everyone! There is no surprise we have passed his 10-14 day hope of selling the Club, we have been taken for fools once again. We keep on doing it  his Talk Sport interview nothing but hollow self serving words, a past master, it seems!!

If you are right Billy and there is no buyer the real crunch question is what exactly is said in Derek's contract because in such circumstances I think Derek might leave and who could blame him.
