Given the absolute shambolic running of the club over the last two seasons in which we have ended the season being unable to offer out of contract players a new deal, can you really blame him?
If that is a criticism of the BoDs...
Our BoDs have remained loyal to our club when many in a similar situation would have walked away.
Any criticism of our excellent BoDs is totally uncalled for and is directed in the wrong direction.
Regardless of the difficulties that the board have faced, trying to run the club with one hand tied behind their back, you surely have to admit that the last couple of seasons have been "
shambolic"? The VAT issue, leading to an embargo (
sorted yet?) is unlikely to be Ged Brannon's fault, and definitely gets filed under "
shambolic". Players and staff paid late is "
shambolic".
You're happy to jump on Brannon for leaving, yet most of us, faced with a similar situation, with the opportunity of a stable job, that pays on time, or a job where the employer's company could cease to exist, would put paying the mortgage and feeding the family first.
I have no doubt that without the dedication of the board, and the fact that they are led by true Morecambe FC fans, is the only thing that has kept us afloat, but let's not kick the ex-manager for doing what was best for him and his family, or hide from the fact that we were, and still are, "
shambolic", and will be until Whittingham is gone from Morecambe FC.
