As long as we believe the Bond Group, it all sounds good.

Hmm, I'm seeing the problem with my logic...

Thanks to the Board for this up date, it sounds encouraging and fingers crossed it finally happens.

I have been vocal in asking for information, how ever little, so I think it’s only right to say well done for the Board for giving this update.

I hope every one enjoys the gala night.

Very promising but can we take Whittingham at face value after all the false promises?

Still don't understand why we can't announce signings.

So long as it isn't the Asian pop man who has never been ruled out by JW.

Excellent news and thanks to the BoDs issuing tge info

Just hope that it's genuine and that Jason and Co are not stringing us along yet again.

Call me cynical but I won't believe there is a sale until it has been officially announced. If its the "pop man" then its out of the frying pan into the fire. Interesting that there is no mention of the embargo. We were told sometime ago that it would be settled quickly. Thank you to the board for the statement. Lets see what happens.

I feel a bit sorry for the board. So many fans are complaining that we aren’t being kept updated but all the board can ‘update’ us with is what they are being told by Jason - who can’t be trusted.

All they can do is either repeat Jason’s hollow promises (which then never happen) or not say anything at all, and get flak for staying silent.

I agree with you in relation to the sale of the club but feel that the Board haven't come clean regarding the embargo/VAT for some reason. We were told early on that the Vat business was not connected to Jason.

We have to hope that what Bond Group have told our board is the truth. If it is then that would mean a potential new owner(s) has agreed a financial settlement to buy the club and then it is all down to whether the EFL pass them as proper owners.

A big week coming up

And with every statement comes more questions and hope. The Board can only tell us what Jason tells them and we all know his track record of talking bollocks. They have become the middle men between a bull shitting liability of an owner and a fan base at the point of cracking desperate for any news.

James Wakefields tweet hit home for me. They still have full time jobs and families as well as trying to run the club whilst dealing with Whittingham.

I wouldn't say that. There is news but we can't be sure that it is genuine and even if it is it may not be the news we want.

   in the cold light of the day after the statement from the board, is it just JW stringing the board along, once again as people are suggesting he is.

It makes me angry    that a guy who’s has publicly stated he wants to sell still owns the club and won’t believe it to the bottom of my boots till it’s legally official and I can finally uncross my tootsies.

I don't think anyone is complaining about the Board making this statement. Many of us are saying, we don't believe Bond/Whittingham, who has demonstrated he's a liar in the past.

We all WANT to believe the statement. We simply don't. Yet!

I might be wrong but I think there will be more details coming this week. There's going to be many people in and around Morecambe struggling to operate properly with all their fingers and toes crossed. Just hope there's plenty of room in Lancaster Infirmary!

He does say early this week they will go before the EFL for them to Vett the application.

Surely our Chairmen/Board will be involved to give the EFL their observations so if he has misled them over a potential sale then it will be known soon enough.

People can call JW out till the cows come home but this all started when PMG did not do due diligence on Diego Lemos and the shares have been in unscrupulous hands ever since then. Jason is just the latest of the "owners" !

I believe the quacks and will say it’s a servers reaction to Witinghamitus, a very painful and prolong drawn reaction to bull**** that has swept around Morecambe and just cannot say when it will go away. :o :o :o

If true how long does a submission to the EFL take? That’s of course if they get all the information!! been down that road before.

Are the Board of Directors privy to whatever is sent to the EFL? If so, then at least the Board could pass confirmation down to the fans without divulging any of the content. If nothing else that should pacify the fans that the wheels are indeed in motion.

Only my opinion but let the Board get on with running our club without having to divulge info about the sale until it's all gone through. They will know who the potential new owner(s) may be but such info is confidential and should remain so.

I'm as interested as everybody else but until a deal is sorted any info about who they are is for the Bond Group and our BoDs in my opinion. We could scupper any deal if such info was made public at such a delicate stage in the process.

We've waited a long time for any deal. Another week or so isn't going to change things.
