Message from the Boardroom

Postby redrobo » Sat Aug 10, 2024 10:59 am

https://www.morecambefc.com/news/2024/a ... on-opener/

This is the second message from the BoDs in a week and is it preparing us for some news about the Sale of the club to a party that the BoDs are unhappy about and fear that if their fears are true that their positions on the Board may be in jeopardy :?: :?: :?:

Any new owner will wish ( :?: ) to have complete control of all matters of the club and may see the current BoDs as not those who will be prepared to carry out the requirements of a new owner(s).

I hope that I'm wrong but statements from our current, and in my view excellent BoDs give me cause for concern ......or am I worrying needlessly....... :?: :?: :?:

As from the post on the previous subject; ‘It all depends on a successful take over’ that is what people are worried about. I alluded to it with my posts on that subject, especially after firstly Rod’s and Graham’s message and now the B.OD’s messages on the Clubs web page.

We all know the great efforts that RT & GH, the rest of the B.O.D’s and the staff at Morecambe FC put in to running the club day by day. We should all be great full for that and for the type of Club that has been built here at Morecambe FC.

We may be getting a new broom that will make sweeping changes at the club, that is the worry, will the old guard fit in???

So it is also up to us the fans to look after our Club and with the Trust we have to hold any new owners to account. Is it all too much to want your Club to have committed, responsible and fervent owners? As has been said, the B.O.D’s are fans of the Club, they do not see it as a commodity and that is a boldly good job because recent past owners, for me, have only seen the Club as a commodity.

We can now be sure who the proposed owner(s) is/are and it is far from good news

Start putting money into the Save our Shrimps fund again now.

Cos I'm far from sure.

Freez said on facebook that he is reliably informed that Sarbjot is not involved.

Obviously there are people who know, I personally don’t, I ask around, probably like everyone else and seem to get nowhere.

I know what my nightmare Scenario is!!

I was however asked yesterday if it was the Americans!! I honestly answered that I did not know. I did’t think too much about it except to think is he up to speed with developments, well he may be ahead of the game!!

So who knows and if Freez is right, why wouldn’t he be, who is it?

I can understand the statements if it is a bid from Sarbjot, but if it’s someone or some other group it all just adds to the mystery and suspense of it all.

I am only going by the Boards message. I can only think of them being against Sarbjot &co. If Freez says it's not them then I'm as much lost as you are.....but whoever it is if the Board are against them then it's not good news.

I think that there's a lot of reading between the lines of the board's messages, and seeing things that aren't there.
Maybe I'm wrong but the board's messages just seem enthusiastic and encouraging.

"We appreciate the effort and loyalty of every single one of you. This season, let’s continue to work together, strive to win more awards, and support each other to make improvements to every aspect of what we do"

The first message was used by every club in the EFL i think. Accrington put out the same one wird for word. Another example of Football being used by politicians.

A bit of detective work, mmmmmmm.

The message on our website says it was penned by Rod Taylor and Graham House! has it been nicked by other Clubs or has as Berlin Waller says, it came from the EFL ?

So maybe they didn’t pen it, as it came from the EFL. Walsall FC had the message as well, just putting in the Club name and Ground within it.

Or did they??

Whatever the case, I was reading far far to much into the message, I suppose I must say sorry.
