We are well organised, there is no bout about that, we play Adams Ball very well, the understanding is there, even from those who got their first real minutes on the pitch. The problem is that leaves little room for error whatever that may be.
Very few times in the last 3-4 seasons when Adam’s has been here we have been well beaten, there no disgrace in that and no point in getting up tight about those few games, it happens. Please though think back how many times we dropped points because we let teams play and keep ball and end they up nicking points off us. (It happened bothe times at home this season so far). In My humble opinion we would not have been relegated from League 1 the year we did if we had just been a bit more on the front foot.
As for this season it’s probably one of the reasons we have not already got 2 or 3 points. Last night with Angol up front we I thought we can caused a defence real problems throughout the game with his willingness to put himself about and with Lewis as a false number 10 we looked more dangerous than we have been so far. If Edwards had not been rested and he played with his pace was I sure it would have even better.
My concern is we have not reached the pace we played at at the start of last season, I have no doubt we would have won a few of those early games.
Please don’t get me wrong we are improving in all aspects of the game it’s just that extra 10% of something and we will be fine.
Our league position will go down to winning games against teams in and around us. We have struggled somewhat with that in the last few seasons especially when we went down, that was for me that season between the difference between staying up and going down.
I agree with DA there are good footballers in our squad and it is slowly coming to the fore, WE WILL BE FINE.
