Barrow (a) 12th Oct 15.00

Mk Dons (h) 19th Oct 15.00

Wimbledon (a) 22nd Oct 19.45

We cant afford to drop to far behind but personally cant see us getting a great deal from the next 5 games

We cannot keep saying once we get going, our performance was good once again, we have played teams from the top of the league and only just got beat, it’s becoming repetitive. 4 points from 9 games!! Hard luck doesn’t get you points.

I think everyone will agree we have to finish better, much much better and if we don’t where will we be after the next 5 games? I’m still in a frame of mind that we will be ok, long may that continue.

Somebody said we have got to get up to 30 points by New Year that gives you in a good place either to push on or to be in a position in the league where your not looking at a relegation fight. That seems at the moment a bit of a stretch. That would have to have us going on a phenomenal run of wining games in the 13 games till new year.

I’d take 20+ that’s at least 5 wins and a few draws from teams above us.
Accrington, Bromley, Salford, Harrogate, Carlisle and Swindon all before New Year.

Our destiny it seems, if we continue like we have, will be down to beating the teams in and around us, it’s absolutely crucial. We have to win the vast majority of them beginning with Accrington. I think it’s a big game for us in every way, it’s followed by Barrow away and then two games from the middle of the league.

When we have some of our players back that have been out I expect the rise to begin.

Our destiny will rely not only on what we do on the pitch but what happens off it! :( However, from a purely footballing point of view I think Redalert is being too pessimistic and your 20+ is entirely doable.
If we have managed to keep paying wages on time I think we've every chance of staying up.

Despite everything, I still think we will be fine. We've played a lot of top teams. We've been robbed by crap officials and had some strange/bad luck (eg normally dependable Moore's early mistakes) losing two games. Notts County and Bradford both came close to losing to us. County players apparently admitted the ball was over the line, so that's two points, Crewe non-penalty, another point etcetera.

Too soon to say "must win", but Acci is close to it. A win on Saturday, and we're off & running. Lose, and then I'll start to get concerned.

So how did that work out then?

Ahhh Well a lot will be thriving tonight! Reality creeps up on some earlier than others!!

Anyway, next 4 games:- Lose at Barrow, then win, win and win, some positivity still abounds !!!

We started the season with one hand tied behind our backs and with the injuries we have now, it's pretty much both hands behind our backs.

I know it isn't the Shrimpsvoices way but it's time to get behind Derek and the lads. If you haven't got a ticket for that mob over there, go and get one. Get behind the team, demand more from them and let's get that first win.
