As things stand (early tables) we could be playing Chorley Fc next season

Long way to go but that is what is possible if we don't sort things out on and off the pitch VERY VERY QUICKLY

So instead of local derbies against Barrow, Fleetwood and Carlisle it would be local derbies against Chorley and Afc Fylde

Oh it’s sunk in don’t worry, and we will end up where we end up by what is going on both on and off the pitch. Whether that is a turn around in fortune on the pitch and finally new owners who knows?

What can be done?

Or we could have gone out of business by next season  I'm not looking forward to relegation but it is always a possibility with a club like ours and it is far better than not having a club at all. Now that is realism for you!

I haven't posted on here for quite a while as I have felt its pointless , the fans , although well meaning ,are powerless, as are the board of directors , one thing is certain though , we have an owner who does not give a toss about what anyone in Morecambe thinks , or what happens to the club , and any deal he decides on will be done with someone similar or even worse.

Maybe going out of the league and the club going out of business is part of Jason's end game, who knows , but whoever we play next season could be the very least of MFCs worries.

Watching the match yesterday from the main stand I realise that relegation is a distinct possibility but will any true diehard Shrimp stop going and supporting. Yes the preference is for the cowboy to have sold up, money injected by somebody really interested, and have all this mess cleared up (in my opinion not gonna happen). I would rather see my local team play non league, he disappears with less money in his pocket and rebuild than see the doors see a local case of W.W.

It’s only on the pitch were we can go against the gain of the situation off the pitch and it’s abundantly clear that unless some changes in our approach in all areas of the game happens, the reality is it is going to be that the rest of the league will cast us adrift. Unfortunately for me we have to many players that cannot produce at a constant level of performance not only in a game, but game after game. I have no doubt they are trying but they have just not good enough in this first third of the season.

Derek has to have a reappraisal of what he is getting out of his players, his tactics and his use of subs. OK the injuries have taken there toll on the squad and Dereks ability to change things around, I get that, but his tactics are not getting us anything, the loan big man up front is not working because our midfield doesn’t play off him, he’s isolated. He has to get more out of these players, he has to get them to the same level as A Lewis, who at the moment is out shinning everybody else. To say his bench cannot come on and change a game, is not something he should be saying. It’s about fresh legs matching the oppositions fresh legs. That last 25 minutes it was noticeable it was the main difference in the sides, it was 2-2 we had a good period in the game, their subs influenced all their 3 goals in that last 25 minutes.

Off pitch we cannot influence what JW does, we as fans are completely in the dark and that isn’t going to alter. I have repeatedly posted against him, as so many others have and it’s driving the club down and fans have walked away. I’m drained with it all.

The bigger worry for me is that the prospective buyers are also keeping quiet, WHY? Why are they in this secretive pact with JW? We as fans if the takeover happens, will just be landed with new unknown owners!! I want to know who they are, is it them who failed last time? Because that is not a change of ownership, its a continuation of the same type of ownership Morecambe FC sadly seem to get.

So yes it’s sunk in we are in a big massive spiralling black hole, getting it right on the pitch is imperative it’s the only way to start to reverse things. If this is not turned around in this second third of the season we will not be in a position in the last third, to kick on and save our league status. It’s make and break between now and January.
