That's what I was thinking. I certainly prefer the away kit. The home one is a little 'meh'.

photos are appearing at twitter.com/briansheldon. No idea if you need to register to see them or if you need www in front, just give it a try. Now, the bar is still open so bye bye.

They look alright but Brian, what is the back of the shirt like?

Do we still have the dodgey white bit there?

no dodgy shirt backs. Watch out for the cuffs on long sleeve stuff.

From those pictures the style looks like an Arsenal shirt with red main body, and complete white sleeves. I can think of one local paper editor who won't be buying one.

Looks ok from the picture, would have preferred something more traditional.

Like both of them. can't wait to see Glen in one !

Just a point, didn't we play in a similar Arsenal-type kit around the 1980/81 season ?

Yes we did. It was in the days of Joe Woz i seem to recall when we had an influx of Barrow players who then went to Colne. Was the shirt sponsor Mitchells?

Those of us with a penchant for North London's biggest club will be purchasing the blue away top !

I've only ever bought the home kit once anyway - the Jiang Print one and that was only because the away white kit was so nondescript. Even then I've worn it far less than any other Morecambe strip I've ever had (it's a 'red' thing!).

But that's just me. Tribal stuff aside I actually think both new kits are smart - they may have dropped a clanger picking one that is so obviously 'Gooners' (will ManU, Liverpool etc fans buy it, never mind Spurs?) but the actual designs are quite good.

Blue ones again for my family, though (if they've sorted out the 'fit' which was very strange last year - they must have used SpongeBob as a model!).
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Morecambe fans should buy it for being a Morecambe shirt, rather than cloud their judgment by comparing it with whatever their second club's kit looks like! ;)
